Stephanie and Shane’s rustic mountain elopement at Chapel in the Hollow was the perfect blend of laid-back love and country charm.
They dressed the chapel in soft peach and sand fabrics paired with our blush and bashful florals—a dreamy combo for their spring forest wedding.
Stephanie looked stunning in an illusion dress featuring nude mesh and a wild cream lace overlay, topped off with fancy cowboy boots that brought all the Western flair. Shane kept it classic with jeans, a crisp white shirt, and a grey vest—simple, sweet, and so them.
Their ceremony was short, sweet, and full of joy, serenaded by the sound of owls in the trees. After they said“I do,” we whisked them off for couple photos at some of our favorite spots—the mossy tree, highland area, the forest road, and of course, the vintage truck. Shane lit up at the truck, and Stephanie couldn’t stop smiling the whole time. You could feel the happiness radiating off them!
It was a warm spring day in the Smokies, and the love in the air made it even sweeter.
From the Bride
We met on Facebook Dating. Shane was very new to Tennessee and I have lived here my entire life. We messaged a month and talked on the phone before we met in person. Both of us being very cautious due to our past experiences. After a month we decided to meet on a Sunday afternoon at a local bar. We hit it off and talked for a few hours it was amazing. During our month of talking before we met Shane had said that he never kisses on a first date. It’s just something he doesn’t do. He thinks things shouldn’t feel rushed. As we sat at the bar that day we were joking and laughing I cant’ remember what we were talking about but me being the smart ass I am told him he couldn’t ever get me to stop talking shit to him and book! HE KISSED ME!!! I was speechless! After that it was history we were a couple it was like it was just meant to be. Like we were made for each other. It may have taken a while for us to find each other but, when we did we knew we wanted to spend our lived together. This is the best relationship I have ever had and I’d be lost without him.
Our first date was at a local bar and I remember seeing him pull in the parking lot on his Harley and I thought SHEW he is even cuter in person! We talked for a few hours and it was a great conversation.
He proposed. He was teaching me how to bow hunt and he decided when I killed my first deer he was going to propose. So one evening we had about 5 deer on our backyard and Shane says I wish we were in the deer stand. I said go get my bow I can get one now. He laughed at me and said NO WAY you will not get a shot they will hear you coming and run. I got my bow, took off my flip flops, slowly walked bare footed to the back yard, aimed my bow, and let it RIP. I got my first deer that evening and he proposed it was quite a night to say the least! We decided to have our rustic mountain elopement in East Tennessee because it’s my home, and we love it here. On or wedding day I can’t wait to officially marry my soul mate.
For fun we hunt, ride the motorcycle, sit on the porch together, fishing, things like that. Typical date night is going to eat somewhere usually when its warm we ride the bike and we just spend time together. The thing with us is it doesn’t matter if we are out on a date or at home swinging on the porch we are having fun just being together.
Thinking about an easy, intimate elopement surrounded by East Tennessee beauty for your rustic mountain wedding? We’ve got just the spot. Check out our calendar to see if we have your date available!
Rick and Tracy’s mini wedding in the Smoky Mountains was full of emotion, elegance, and just the right amount of misty mountain magic.
They dressed the chapel in a dreamy combo of dusty sage and blush fabric with our succulent florals and lantern package—a perfect palette for a sweet spring celebration.
Tracy looked radiant in a strapless gown with a flowing train and a short lace-edged veil, while Rick wore a dashing blue patterned suit that added just the right touch of personality.
They shared a private first look outside the bridal suite—and cue the tears… Rick couldn’t hold them back. Then, hand in hand, they walked down the aisle together and read the vows they wrote for one another. More tears. More joy. More love.
After sealing the deal, they celebrated their newlywed status down the aisle before heading out for photos around the property—including a little mountain magic thanks to the rain that stopped just in time. The soft, overcast light made for some absolutely gorgeous shots.
Looking for a romantic, rain-kissed wedding in the heart of East Tennessee? We’ve got the perfect forest hideaway just waiting for you.
From the Bride
We met via online dating. For our first date we met for dinner and drinks then took a walk by the beach for “stargazing” (it was a cloudy night lol). We immediately clicked and enjoyed each others company. We laughed and talked for hours.
Rick surprised me with a trip to the mountains for my birthday in December. I was hopeful (I knew about the ring, we shopped together for it) but he still managed to surprise me. We drove all night from Florida to Gatlinburg and just before morning, he asked me to put a short waterfall hike in the GPS. There was a road closure so last minute he decided on Cades Cove. I was in my comfy car pjs and a rain coat when we got out to stretch our legs after the long drive so I was definitely not expecting a proposal then. We took a path along a creek when I noticed he was not “helping” me through the tree roots as he usually holds his hand out because I trip constantly. It was then that I noticed he had his hands shoved in both his pockets! Right after that, we stood by the creek by ourselves in the rainy mountain morning and he got down on one knee and asked me if I wanted to “hang out until one of us dies”.
We decided to get married in East Tennessee because we love the mountains! We enjoy hiking and camping and its where we got engaged! On our wedding day we look forward to just enjoying the day together. We hike, visit State Parks. We love the swamp and alligators when we are in Florida and North Georgia and Tennessee when we road trip. We are fun loving people & want that to show in our wedding and photos.
Cheyenne and Tony chose Chapel in the Hollow for their dreamy bohemian micro wedding, and their DIY magic made everything feel extra personal and romantic.
They dressed the chapel in textured rust and cream fabrics—a warm, earthy combo that gave us all the cozy spring vibes. Then, they added their own flair with gorgeous pampas grass florals, empty vases, and wooden lanterns lining the aisle and chapel steps—boho perfection!
Cheyenne looked absolutely stunning in a sleeveless lace-overlay dress with a mid-length veil, and the love just radiated from her. Before the ceremony, she shared a sweet first look with her dad in the bridal suite, and they both teared up. Her mom helped her get ready, and her dad proudly walked her down the aisle.
Tony’s reaction when he saw her? His whole body smiled. And same, Tony.
They styled our little wooden table with adorable details, a tiny white cake, and goodies for a celebratory toast. After their ceremony, they shared a first toast and a joyful cake cutting with family.
We wrapped up the day with couple photos in the field with mountain views and snagged some sweet moments along the forest road on the way.
This sweet spring celebration was the perfect mix of DIY charm, heartfelt moments, and woodsy beauty. Congratulations, Cheyenne and Tony!

Our high schools (about 30 mins from one another) were rivals in sports back in the day. We had always sorta knew each other but never spoke a word to one another. We would occasionally Our high schools (about 30 mins from one another) were rivals in sports back in the day. We had always sorta knew each other but never spoke a word to one another. Then the summer before my (cheyenne) senior year of high school, the groom (anthony) and myself friended each other on Instagram and SnapChat. We would occasionally send messages to one another but I (cheyenne) was not looking to get into a relationship before I (cheyenne) went off to college. Long story short, we ended up meeting for our first date and hit it off…now we’re getting married 6 years later! messages to one another, but I was not looking to get into a relationship before I went off to college. Long story short, we ended up meeting for our first date and hit it off…now we’re getting married 6 years later!
For the first date, Anthony asked me to meet him at Dairy Queen after one of my volleyball practices during my senior year of high school. I pulled into the parking lot and he pulled up next to me bumping to some music and singing along…I thought to myself there is no way this is going to work out LOL! We ended up sitting in Dairy Queen for what seemed like forever…we were two chatty people who were just trying to get to know one another. We went our separate ways and planned out our next date AND here we are getting married so I’d say it all worked out!
He proposed to me. At this point, we had been together for about 5 years, and everyone around me was getting married so I thought it would never happen….well this man sure did surprise me! He does concrete and construction for his job, so he informed me on the way to our Valentine’s Date we had to check out a job and do a quick job bid. We pulled up to this Japanese garden place about 40 minutes from home and I mean he was REALLY selling it to me that we were looking at these concrete pads that he’s going to replace for the business. We made our way around to a beautiful scenery area and I turned around and he was on one knee. My first words were “are you being serious?” Did not see that one coming that’s for sure!
We have taken multiple trips to Tennessee since we started dating in 2018. It just made sense for it to be the site for our bohemian micro wedding. Tennessee is like our second home and truthfully we could see ourselves living there someday.
I’m most looking forward to just being able to soak it all in! There is so much stress, money and time that goes into wedding planning (especially for the bride) and you just get to the point where you’re like, okay I’m ready for this! I’m ready to enjoy all the hard work I’ve done for the past 14 months and just enjoy every second of our big day!
There is no significance for the date. Given both of our jobs, the beginning of May was one of the best times of the year to get married for us!
Sometimes we enjoy staying in, and sometimes enjoy going out! If we’re staying in after a long day or week of work, we will make, what I like to call, a “nest” on the floor in our living room, eat comfort food and find a good movie to watch! Versus if we are going out we may go grab a good dinner, catch up with friends, go to an activity place, such as TopGolf (not sure if they have one of those in TN). We also are working on renovating our home, I (cheyenne) just graduated college and now we are getting married so we really are just busy all the time it seems!
Event Planner/Florals: Bride and Mother of the Bride
Becky and Bill brought all the carefree, boho energy to their bohemian East Tennessee elopement at Chapel in the Hollow, and we were so here for it!
They dressed the chapel in dreamy white and gold fabric with our bohemian florals for a vibe that was laid-back, stylish, and full of heart.
Becky wore a short white lace dress paired with a tan vest and the cutest whimsical jewelry—boho goddess vibes all the way. Bill rocked jeans, a golden yellow buckskin vest, and a cowboy hat that tied the whole look together.
They walked hand-in-hand down the cobblestones to the soft scent of honeysuckle and the morning chorus of birdsong—literal forest fairytale magic.
They exchanged matching wooden wedding bands, and after their sweet ceremony, we adventured around the property for couple photos at the creek, the vintage truck, and the field with that epic Smoky Mountain backdrop.
From the Bride
We met online, and it began with a simple “Becky, would you like to chat”? I wasn’t expecting it to turn into “I do,” but something about him made me say, “I’d love to.” That message turned into daily conversations, sometimes hourly. He was thoughtful, a little shy, and seemed to love the same things I did: nature, the countryside, and a quiet kind of life.
Our first in-person meeting was over coffee, where we talked for hours. We continued the conversation over pizza, and then for hours more once we each got home. A few days later, we had our official first date on Valentine’s Day. We couldn’t stop talking. He shared his stories (he has plenty) and truly listened to mine. Soon after, he sent me a poem. In it, he imagined me as his wife. I laughed, cried a little, and loved it. I think that was the moment I knew—this man wasn’t just looking for someone. He was looking for me.
Six weeks later, we moved in together. When you’ve lived enough life, you don’t waste time second-guessing something that feels right. That was six years ago, and now we’re ready to make it official.
There was no down-on-one-knee moment—just a quiet question one day: “Do you think you’d ever want to get married?” That was almost two years ago. We never rushed. We already felt like a team. Now it’s time to put a ring on it.
We’ve always been drawn to peaceful places full of beauty and quiet. The Smoky Mountains seemed like the perfect setting for both a wedding and a honeymoon. When we found your place, everything clicked.
We’re excited to become husband and wife—not because we need to prove anything, but because we want to honor what we’ve built together.
We love sitting by a fire, wandering through nature, and talking about everything and nothing. Our home is tucked away in the hills, surrounded by wildlife, views, and peace. Even in retirement, we always work on something—fixing, building, improving. We spend time with the kids and grandkids, take Ralph, our dog, on long walks, and live life one moment at a time.
Two people who found each other at just the right moment and couldn’t be more grateful.
Bruce and Kim’s spring East Tennessee mini wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a soft and romantic celebration that brought all the vintage charm and easy outdoor vibes!
They dressed the chapel in simple white fabric paired with our blush and bashful florals, letting the natural forest backdrop do what it does best—create magic.
Kim looked absolutely stunning in a cream lace gown with cap sleeves, delicate buttons down the back, and a long, graceful train—a timeless look with just the right touch of vintage glam. Bruce kept it classic in a sharp black suit.
With birds chirping in the trees and the May breeze drifting through the woods, Kim walked herself down the aisle, and you could feel the love in the air.
They brought a petite flower-topped cake to enjoy after the ceremony, and then we snuck off to the vines and the road for some dreamy couple photos. It was relaxed, romantic, and just right.
Congratulations, Bruce and Kim!!
From the Bride
We met at work. On our first date we went out to eat and rode around. Bruce proposed at our spot we sat and had talks. We decided to get married in East Tennessee and Chapel in the Hollow because a coworker had been married here previously so I looked it up on Facebook. We are most looking forward to saying I Do! and all the pictures. We picked this date because I just liked the way it sounded 5.5.25! We love to go new places and just explore. Ride and listen to good music
