Mini Wedding in the Smoky Mountains – Tracy and Rick

Mini Wedding in the Smoky Mountains

Tracy and Rick  – May 7, 2025

Rick and Tracy’s mini wedding in the Smoky Mountains was full of emotion, elegance, and just the right amount of misty mountain magic
They dressed the chapel in a dreamy combo of dusty sage and blush fabric with our succulent florals and lantern package—a perfect palette for a sweet spring celebration.
Tracy looked radiant in a strapless gown with a flowing train and a short lace-edged veil, while Rick wore a dashing blue patterned suit that added just the right touch of personality.
They shared a private first look outside the bridal suite—and cue the tears… Rick couldn’t hold them back.  Then, hand in hand, they walked down the aisle together and read the vows they wrote for one another. More tears. More joy. More love.
After sealing the deal, they celebrated their newlywed status down the aisle before heading out for photos around the property—including a little mountain magic thanks to the rain that stopped just in time. The soft, overcast light made for some absolutely gorgeous shots.
Looking for a romantic, rain-kissed wedding in the heart of East Tennessee? We’ve got the perfect forest hideaway just waiting for you.
From the Bride
We met via online dating. For our first date we met for dinner and drinks then took a walk by the beach for “stargazing” (it was a cloudy night lol). We immediately clicked and enjoyed each others company. We laughed and talked for hours.
Rick surprised me with a trip to the mountains for my birthday in December. I was hopeful (I knew about the ring, we shopped together for it) but he still managed to surprise me. We drove all night from Florida to Gatlinburg and just before morning, he asked me to put a short waterfall hike in the GPS. There was a road closure so last minute he decided on Cades Cove. I was in my comfy car pjs and a rain coat when we got out to stretch our legs after the long drive so I was definitely not expecting a proposal then. We took a path along a creek when I noticed he was not “helping” me through the tree roots as he usually holds his hand out because I trip constantly. It was then that I noticed he had his hands shoved in both his pockets! Right after that, we stood by the creek by ourselves in the rainy mountain morning and he got down on one knee and asked me if I wanted to “hang out until one of us dies”.
We decided to get married in East Tennessee because we love the mountains! We enjoy hiking and camping and its where we got engaged! On our wedding day we look forward to just enjoying the day together. We hike, visit State Parks. We love the swamp and alligators when we are in Florida and North Georgia and Tennessee when we road trip. We are fun loving people & want that to show in our wedding and photos.
