We are living in uncertain times, and we understand that our couples are nervous about their big days, so we want to address a few things so that you know what to expect. First of all, we are so happy that you are choosing to have your wedding here, and we are super excited for it! We want you to be safe, happy, and still have the wedding of your dreams!
In Tennessee, weddings have always been considered essential activities so we were never required to shut down. We will remain open and available for weddings as long as all current CDC guidelines are followed. Luckily, our venue is outdoor only which helps keep everything safer by providing more room to spread out. We will be doing our part by wearing masks when necessary and keeping things sanitized.
Our main priority is keeping you all as safe and happy as we can. We understand that this is a super scary time, and we have tried to be as accommodating as possible to make sure that all of our couples get the wedding they hope for. Initially, because of the unexpectedness of getting confronted with what seemed like the apocalypse, we offered the option for any couples having weddings affected by COVID-19 to reschedule to any of our available non-peak dates (July-August and December-March) or any day but Saturday for our peak dates (September-November and April-June).
Now that Covid is more of a daily presence in our lives, we are changing our approach somewhat. Although we have always recommended wedding insurance, after seeing the crazy of the last couple of years, we want to re-emphasize this recommendation. We put a lot of time and effort into preparing for your wedding, turning people away from your date, and adding new options on property for you to enjoy. Because of this, if you choose to cancel, your non-refundable retainer and any other monies paid in will not be returned as per the contract you sign. If you purchase wedding insurance as we recommend, then they may cover all of the costs associated with cancellation depending on the coverage you purchased.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that all of this goes away soon, and we are here to answer any questions and address your concerns so don’t hesitate to reach out. As you may know, we are a little out in the boonies so phone service isn’t always available, but we’d love for you to reach out via text to 865-696-5348 or through email to info@chapelinthehollow.com
