Rustic Mountain Elopement – Stephanie and Shane

Rustic Mountain Elopement

Stephanie and Shane – May 8, 2025

Stephanie and Shane’s rustic mountain elopement at Chapel in the Hollow was the perfect blend of laid-back love and country charm.
They dressed the chapel in soft peach and sand fabrics paired with our blush and bashful florals—a dreamy combo for their spring forest wedding
Stephanie looked stunning in an illusion dress featuring nude mesh and a wild cream lace overlay, topped off with fancy cowboy boots that brought all the Western flair.  Shane kept it classic with jeans, a crisp white shirt, and a grey vest—simple, sweet, and so them.
Their ceremony was short, sweet, and full of joy, serenaded by the sound of owls in the trees.  After they said “I do,” we whisked them off for couple photos at some of our favorite spots—the mossy tree, highland area, the forest road, and of course, the vintage truck.  Shane lit up at the truck, and Stephanie couldn’t stop smiling the whole time. You could feel the happiness radiating off them!
It was a warm spring day in the Smokies, and the love in the air made it even sweeter.
From the Bride
We met on Facebook Dating. Shane was very new to Tennessee and I have lived here my entire life. We messaged a month and talked on the phone before we met in person. Both of us being very cautious due to our past experiences. After a month we decided to meet on a Sunday afternoon at a local bar. We hit it off and talked for a few hours it was amazing. During our month of talking before we met Shane had said that he never kisses on a first date. It’s just something he doesn’t do. He thinks things shouldn’t feel rushed. As we sat at the bar that day we were joking and laughing I cant’ remember what we were talking about but me being the smart ass I am told him he couldn’t ever get me to stop talking shit to him and book! HE KISSED ME!!! I was speechless! After that it was history we were a couple it was like it was just meant to be. Like we were made for each other.  It may have taken a while for us to find each other but, when we did we knew we wanted to spend our lived together. This is the best relationship I have ever had and I’d be lost without him.
Our first date was at a local bar and I remember seeing him pull in the parking lot on his  Harley and I thought SHEW he is  even cuter in person! We talked for a few hours and it was a great conversation.
He proposed. He was teaching me how to bow hunt and he decided when I killed my first deer he was going to propose.  So one evening we had about  5 deer on our backyard and Shane says I wish we were in the deer stand.  I said go get my bow I can get one now.  He laughed at me and said  NO WAY you will not get a shot they will hear you coming and run.  I got my bow, took off my flip flops, slowly walked bare footed to the back yard, aimed my bow, and let it RIP.  I got my first deer that evening and he proposed it was quite a night to say the least! We decided to have our rustic mountain elopement in East Tennessee because it’s my home, and we love it here.  On or wedding day I can’t wait to officially marry my soul mate.
For fun we hunt, ride the motorcycle, sit on the porch together, fishing, things like that.  Typical date night is going to eat somewhere usually when its warm we ride the bike and we just spend time together.  The thing with us is it doesn’t matter if we are out on a date or at home swinging on the porch we are having fun just being together.
