Taylor and Kyle’s Smoky Mountain wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was nothing short of enchanting, even as the rain poured down, adding a touch of drama and a lot of blessings to their special day!
The couple, along with their excited families, embraced the weather, showing up with big smiles and ready to celebrate love in the lush, rain-kissed surroundings. They chose peach and sand fabric complemented by our blush and bashful florals to beautifully adorn the chapel, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Before the ceremony, Taylor and Kyle shared a private first look in the bridal suite, a sweet moment of calm before the joyful storm of activity. Taylor was stunning in a cap sleeve blush dress with a long train, perfect for the romantic setting, while Kyle looked sharp in a dark grey suit.
As the rain continued, the ceremony was cozily held under the porch of the chapel, with the officiant guiding Taylor and Kyle as they exchanged vows in this intimate setting. Taylor’s dad proudly walked her down the aisle, and after the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a luscious dessert table prepared by Taylor’s mom with a little help from the family.
Despite the persistent rain, the spirits were high, and the celebration continued with family portraits and cake cutting. After mingling with their guests, I whisked the couple away for some couple photos. The rain created a magical backdrop, resulting in some truly stunning photographs that captured the essence of their rainy yet joyful wedding day.
Congratulations, Taylor and Kyle! Your wedding was a beautiful testament to the fact that a little rain only adds to the beauty of the day. May your life together be as filled with love and joy as your incredible wedding day!
From the Bride
We went to middle school and high school together. In 2018, we both lost someone dear to us and became good friends during that time. That friendship soon blossomed into a relationship and we knew pretty quickly that we would spend the rest of our lives together. Since we were friends first, we really don’t remember a first date. We spent most of our time together and loved every minute.
Kyle proposed to me. He made me think we were going out to dinner and instead took me to our 2.5 acre property that we owned at the time. When pulling up to the driveway, you could see candlelights inside mason jars lining both sides of the driveway. At the end of the driveway, Kyle hung string lights in a rectangular shape to resemble where our house was to be built and also had put up a front door, which said “The Hagerman’s est..?” on it. He proposed in front of that door, while my friend hid with a camera to capture the moment.
We decided to get married here because we both grew up in East Tennessee and love it here! We wouldn’t want to get married anywhere else.We have been engaged since 2021, so we are looking forward to finally being married. The most important thing for us is having pictures to remember our wedding. We love fall and hope it won’t be too hot on our wedding day.
We have horses and enjoy taking them trail riding in the mountains. The rest of our time is typically spent with our two dogs. Date nights typically consist of door dash and a good Netflix show.
