Intimate Fall Wedding – Shelbie and Jonathan

Intimate Fall Wedding

Shelbie and Jonathan – September 23, 2024

Shelbie and Jonathan’s intimate fall wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a magical celebration, perfectly nestled in the heart of the mountains. They transformed the chapel with a lovely combination of dusty sage and blush fabrics, beautifully accented by our blush and marsala florals, all illuminated by our romantic candle and lantern package.
Shelbie looked absolutely enchanting in an off-the-shoulder dress featuring delicate buttons down the back, complemented by a short veil adorned with crystals that sparkled as she moved. Jonathan was dashing in a classic blue suit, looking every bit the groom on his special day.
The wedding was filled with personal and whimsical touches: Disney music played as the bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle, adding a playful and joyful atmosphere. Shelbie’s mom had the honor of walking her down the aisle, a moment that moved Jonathan to tears, clearly touched by the sight of his bride.
His cousin performed the ceremony, making the occasion even more personal and heartfelt. The couple included a sand ceremony, symbolizing their united path forward, each grain representing a moment of their lives together. They exited down an aisle filled with bubbles.
Set against the stunning backdrop of an outdoor chapel in the mountains, their wedding was not just a display of their love but a celebration of family, friendship, and the joyful union of their hearts.
Congratulations, Shelbie and Jonathan! May your life together be as beautiful and filled with love as your wedding day. Here’s to many happy trails and adventures ahead!
From the Bride
We initially met when he was working at C-Spire (a cellphone store), and I came in to buy the new iPhone. They didn’t have it in stock there and he sent me to a store over an hour away to get this phone. We then connected online and we talked non-stop. Shortly after I went on a vacation to Mexico where I had no cell reception, so every chance I had to connect to wifi I was texting and calling him. My vacation quickly became trying to find more opportunities to talk to him than trying to enjoy Mexico. LOL.
Our first date was at the very beginning of college football season, and he can’t miss a day of that! So, we decided to go to Huey’s (a local favorite bar/restaurant) where he could still watch all of the games, but I don’t think his eyes left mine. We talked for hours, and drank maybe a little too much. My best friend since first grade (She just recently passed away on 7/4/24) was nearby and we ended up leaving Huey’s to meet up with her and her date at Buffalo Wild Wings. She approved of him instantly. He just fit in with our little group perfectly.
Jonathan proposed. He planned an intimate family dinner, and proposed in front of just our immediate family members. I knew it was coming though because he made sure that I had my nails done, and he was very adamant about that.We decided to get married here because we love East Tennessee and hope to one day be able to move out that way. We also wanted something intimate and requiring the least amount of decoration. The nature and mountains are decoration enough.  On our wedding day we are looking forward to finally become one. We have recently bought our first home together, and are ready to start trying to have a family.
We decided on this date because it is the day before our anniversary. I am bad at remembering dates though so when I booked I genuinely thought that it was our anniversary date, but Jonathan reminded me that our actual anniversary date is the next day. It’s just another way to show the dynamic in our relationship. I can use his brain to store all that extra information that leaves mine. LOL.
We are very big on family, so we often have family games nights. We also just like spending time together occupying the same space, so he may play video games while I build a puzzle or legos. We like to watch TV shows together. We cook together. We love spending time loving on our two dogs and cat together.
