Griffin and Josh’s moody forest wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was an enchanting celebration set against the mysterious allure of the Smoky Mountains. They selected black and burgundy fabric to dress the chapel, perfectly complemented by our moody florals and the soft glow from our lantern package, creating an atmosphere filled with romance and intrigue.
Griffin was stunning in a spaghetti strap black dress adorned with sequin designs and a graceful small train, paired with black boots that matched her edgy yet elegant style. Josh mirrored her in all black, adding to the cohesive and striking aesthetic of their special day.
Their love for unique details shone through with honey jars as favors for their guests, adding a sweet, personal touch to their celebration. Their daughter, dressed adorably, served as one of the flower girls, bringing joy and youthful energy to the ceremony. Griffin’s bonus dad had the honor of walking her down the aisle, a moment filled with emotion and significance.
During the ceremony, their daughter joined them at the altar, symbolizing their unity as a family, which was beautifully officiated by Griffin’s cousin. After exchanging vows, the family posed for photos, though their little girl wasn’t too keen on staying still—resulting in some playful guerrilla photography to capture those precious moments.
We then whisked Griffin and Josh away to the creek and old truck for more intimate photos, and ended their photo session in the field, where the misty mountains provided a breathtaking backdrop, encapsulating the mystical theme of their wedding day.
Congratulations, Griffin and Josh! Your wedding was a stunning tapestry of love, family, and unique elements that perfectly reflected your personalities. May your journey ahead be as beautiful and filled with magic as your wedding day!
From the Bride
We met when we both worked at Sam’s Club.We first started dating during Covid. There wasn’t much we could do, lol. We grabbed some food from Steak n’ Shake and went back to Josh’s apartment and watched movies.
Josh proposed to me at home one late afternoon with our daughter. It was just the 3 of us and perfect. Our first vacation together was to the Smoky Mountains and it’s our home away from home and it will be the perfect place for our wedding. On our wedding day we look forward to seeing our daughter as the flower girl. We picked this date because we really wanted to get married in the fall.
We love to go on vacations and weekend trips to new places and experience new things.
