Midday Fall Micro Wedding – Paula and Darren

Midday Fall Micro Wedding

Paula and Darren – October 26, 2024

Paula and Darren’s midday fall micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a delightful blend of simplicity and rustic charm, perfectly suited for the season.  They chose dusty sage fabric beautifully complemented by our bohemian florals to adorn the chapel, setting a serene  tone for their intimate ceremony.
Paula looked stunning in a simple long-sleeved white dress adorned with lace and a mini train, adding a touch of elegance to her bridal look.  Her mom was there to help her get ready, making the day even more special with those precious mother-daughter moments.
Adding a sweet family touch, Paula’s daughter wore a sage tulle dress, serving double duty as both the flower girl and the ring bearer, charmingly fulfilling her roles with joy.  Her dad walked her down the aisle, and his humor shone through during the ceremony, especially when he jokingly told the groom, “No returns,” as he gave her away, adding laughter to their heartfelt vows.
As the ceremony concluded, the skies began to sprinkle, adding a magical touch to their newlywed moments. Fortunately, the rain held off just long enough for family photos. We then seized the opportunity to use a clear umbrella for some fun rainy day photos, embracing the weather with smiles and laughter.  Paula and Darren, undeterred by the rain, threw caution to the wind and captured beautiful moments in the rain, showcasing their great sense of humor and adventurous spirits.
Congratulations, Paula and Darren! Your wedding was not just a celebration of your love but a joyful gathering of family, filled with laughter and memorable moments. May your life together be as filled with joy and love as your enchanting rainy wedding day!
From the Bride
We met in elementary school and have been long time friends. Darren took me to a steakhouse, only to realize he left his wallet at home (an hour away) so I had to pay for our dinner.
Darren proposed during family Christmas pictures 2023. Got down on 1 knee and put the ring on our daughter’s finger to give to me. We picked East Tennessee because the mountains are beautiful and it is the halfway point for both of our families. His family lives in Virginia and us in Alabama. On our wedding day I am looking forward to marrying my best friend. There is no significance to the date, we knew we wanted a fall wedding.
