Katie and Brett – September 12, 2020
Love in the Smokies
Are you ready to celebrate your love in the Smokies?? For our first wedding on September 12th, Katie and Brett brought their little ones and their families to celebrate. Katie looked amazing in her dress, and their children were adorable. They put together a fun donut dessert table, and Brett ended the day with a ring for their little girl. Congratulations, Brett and Katie!!!
From the Bride:
We met through mutual friends, we went to watch transformers with them, and the rest is history!
Our first date was like many others from our small town. We went out to eat together at the local Mexican restaurant, La Baranca. We had a blast together. I’m sure Brett talked 90% of the time we were there while I consumed an unhealthy amount of chips and salsa.
Brett proposed to me with our daughter by his side on April 21,2018 at the island in Pigeon Forge. I was in complete shock and had no clue. I later found out he had been carrying it around all day in his pocket. We were visiting for Spring Rod run, something that we always visit for (we actually tried to plan our wedding around this but Covid had other plans). Brett was adamant that we take a picture in front of the water show, and, while I insisted a selfie was more than enough, a nice lady walked by and asked if we needed someone to take our picture. Brett immediately took her up on the offer and secretly told her what his plans were!
We have grown to love Tennessee which is why we chose it for our wedding! I have been traveling there for vacations yearly since I was a young child, and Brett had only been once prior to us dating. We have grown to love the area together and now with our children, I’m sure if you asked Brett the amount of times he had visited now, he wouldn’t have a clue.
On our wedding day, we can both agree that we can’t wait to become a family as whole in unity.
We like to spend lots of quality time with our family, our kids are our pride and joy and we love seeing them happy, with whatever that may be. We love to go to car shows, and are always up to visit new places.
