Easy Morning Smoky Mountain Elopement – Brittney and Brian

Easy Morning Smoky Mountain Elopement | Classic Summer Wedding at Chapel in the Hollow

Brittany and Brian – July 2, 2026

Some wedding days prove that the simplest celebrations can be the most meaningful. Brittney and Brian’s easy morning Smoky Mountain elopement was filled with heartfelt moments, timeless style, and the kind of joy that comes from focusing on what truly matters—each other.

Nestled in the peaceful foothills of the Smoky Mountains, Chapel in the Hollow offers couples a private outdoor wedding experience surrounded by the beauty of East Tennessee. Located just a short drive from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville, our woodland venue combines the romance of a mountain wedding with the convenience and flexibility of a private venue, without the crowds or permit requirements of the national park.

A Fresh Summer Morning in the Smoky Mountains

Brittney and Brian chose an early morning ceremony, one of our favorite times of day for a Smoky Mountain elopement. The gentle morning light filtered through the trees, creating a peaceful atmosphere that perfectly matched the relaxed feeling they wanted for their wedding day.

For their ceremony décor, they selected elegant white and dusty blue fabric paired with our blue and yellow floral collection. The soft color palette looked stunning against the lush green forest, creating a fresh, classic setting that felt effortlessly romantic.

One of the things couples love most about Chapel in the Hollow is being able to personalize the chapel with included fabric and floral options while letting nature provide the perfect backdrop. The result is a beautifully styled ceremony without the stress of transporting or renting extensive décor.

The Sweetest First Look

Brittney looked absolutely radiant in her strapless wedding gown. She wore her hair down in soft waves and completed her look with chunky heels that were both stylish and practical for exploring the property after the ceremony.

Brian kept his look timeless with grey suit pants, a crisp white dress shirt, and a coordinating grey vest. As Brittney made her way down the aisle, Brian’s face lit up with the biggest smile. It was one of those genuine reactions that reminds everyone why intimate weddings are so special—every emotion gets to take center stage.

Their ceremony was simple, heartfelt, and focused entirely on the promises they were making to one another.

A Meaningful Surprise During the Ceremony

One of the most memorable parts of Brittney and Brian’s wedding was something many couples don’t think to do.

Rather than shopping for wedding bands together, they each chose a ring for the other as a surprise.

When it came time to exchange rings, neither of them knew what the other had selected. That small decision added an unexpected layer of excitement and emotion to the ceremony, making an already meaningful moment even more personal.

It’s thoughtful touches like these that make every elopement unique and remind us that the best wedding traditions are the ones that reflect a couple’s own story.

Exploring the Property for Portraits

After saying “I do,” the newlyweds spent time exploring some of our favorite portrait locations around Chapel in the Hollow.

Their photography session included stops at:

  • The scenic Highland area
  • Our beautiful open field with Smoky Mountain views
  • The quiet country road that always creates timeless portraits

These varied locations allow couples to enjoy several completely different looks without ever leaving the property. From woodland romance to open mountain vistas, every corner offers another opportunity to create unforgettable wedding portraits.

A Vintage Buick That Stole the Show

Perhaps the most unique part of Brittney and Brian’s portrait session was their gorgeous vintage Buick GS.

The classic car perfectly complemented the timeless feel of their wedding day and added a fun, personal element to their photographs. Whether they were leaning against it, sharing quiet moments beside it, or simply laughing together, the Buick became an unforgettable backdrop that reflected their personality and style.

We always encourage couples to incorporate meaningful details into their wedding portraits. Whether it’s a classic vehicle, beloved pet, heirloom jewelry, or something uniquely “you,” these personal touches make your wedding gallery even more memorable.

From the Bride

We met via a friend of friend and social media followers. For our first date He asked me to get ice cream at Handles with him. He talked endlessly and I listened LOL!

He took us to the OBX for my yearly birthday trip. Little did we know it was going to be the worst weather ever. Our place walked right out onto the beach. The final day of our stay he said do you want to walk out on the beach one more time and I said yes. The wind was whipping, red flags flying, and he gets down on one knee and proposes! If it didn’t go mostly wrong we didn’t do it… It was perfectly us.We visit the tail of the dragon yearly and really enjoy TN over all. Chapel in the Hollow was exactly what we were looking for  in a venue. We can’t wait to be husband and wife.We chose this date because our first date was exactly 9 years to the date. We love to ride motorcycles, garden, find good food, and Marketplace deals.
