Megan and Ryan’s East Tennessee Elopement

Megan and Ryan November 1, 2019

Our second wedding on November 1st was Megan and Ryan’s elopement. This was our second time meeting them, and we enjoyed them just as much this go round! Megan is luminescent and Ryan just basked in her glow. I think you’re going to be as blown away by these as I am!!

From the Bride:
We met through a mutual friend at the restaurant that Ryan manages. I was there for a girls night and my friend, Madison, introduced Ryan to me. I secretly hoped he would ask Madison for my number and… he did! A few days later he texted me asking me on our first date.

Our first date was to Dollywood to see the Great Pumpkin Luminights. We rode every roller coaster in the park, had dinner together, and then spent the night surrounded by beautifully carved and lit pumpkins. It was a very special and memorable first date.

Ryan proposed to me on Market Square on October 30, 2019. It was a complete surprise. We were going out for the night to the Dustin Lynch and Thomas Rhett concert and our family friends were in town to go with us. We decided to get dinner at Babalus before the show and Ryan wanted to walk the square on the way to dinner. We happened to walk up to an artist who was drawing caricatures and the couple we were with said “awwww, y’all should get her to draw you!” So Ryan asked if she could draw us and the artist obliged. We sat on the bench in front of her and while I thought she was drawing both of us, she was actually drawing something I was not at all expecting. She asked if we were ready to see it and we both said “yes”. When she turned the drawing around for us to see, it was a caricature of Ryan down on one knee and the words “Will You Marry Me?” I looked beside me and Ryan was actually down on one knee with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen and said “Will you marry me, Megan?” A thousand times YES!!!

We live in Knoxville, met in Knoxville. Our first date was in the Smokey Mountains and there’s just no place we’d rather be 🙂

Being there just the two of us. Without the business and stress of the rest of the world. Just a time for us to be together and make a lasting promise of the love we’ve always had for each other.

Ryan and I are both foodies! We like to cook or go out to dinner and try new things. We enjoy seasonal craft beers and both appreciate art and music and college football! More than anything though, we love spending time with our family and friends.
