Snowy Smoky Mountain Elopement – Brianna and Eric

Romantic Snowy Mountain Elopement
in the Smoky Mountains

Brianna and Eric – February 2, 2026

There’s something undeniably magical about a winter wedding in the forest — the hush of falling snow, bare trees dusted in white, and the feeling that the world has slowed down just enough to let love take center stage. For Brianna and Eric, that magic came to life during their romantic, snowy mountain elopement at Chapel in the Hollow, tucked away in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.
From the moment they arrived, it was clear this day was about intention, intimacy, and letting their love speak louder than anything else.

A Snowy Smoky Mountain Setting Made for Romance

Brianna and Eric chose Chapel in the Hollow for its secluded woodland setting — a place that feels like the national park without the stress of permits or crowds. On this beautiful February day, fresh snow blanketed the forest, transforming the chapel grounds into a quiet winter wonderland. Snowflakes drifted gently through the trees, creating a serene, storybook backdrop that felt deeply personal and wildly romantic.
To complement the natural surroundings, the chapel was styled in blush and sand fabric paired with blush and bashful florals. The soft tones stood out beautifully against the snowy forest, adding warmth and elegance without overpowering the organic woodland feel. It was the perfect example of how a micro wedding can feel both elevated and effortless.

A Bride Full of Confidence and Heart

Brianna was absolutely radiant. She chose a sleeveless wedding gown that felt timeless and modern, paired with long, sheer mesh fingerless gloves that added a delicate, romantic touch. Her veil flowed softly behind her as she walked — and her cowboy boots? A subtle nod to her personality that felt perfectly at home in the forest setting.
In one of the most powerful moments of the day, Brianna walked alone down the cobblestone path, snow falling around her, fully present and confident in the moment. When Eric saw her for the first time, his face completely lit up — one of those genuine, unfiltered reactions that makes micro weddings so special.
Eric wore a classic black suit, finished with a blush and bashful pocket boutonniere that tied seamlessly into the chapel décor. Together, they looked timeless, romantic, and completely in sync.

An Intimate Ceremony Focused on What Matters Most

Surrounded by the quiet beauty of the Smoky Mountains, Brianna and Eric exchanged vows filled with joy, excitement, and emotion. Their ceremony was intimate and heartfelt — no distractions, no pressure — just two people choosing forever.
They exchanged simple gold wedding bands, a timeless symbol of commitment that matched the understated elegance of their day. Every moment felt intentional, from the words spoken to the peaceful stillness of the snowy forest around them.

Exploring the Forest for Dreamy Winter Portraits

After the ceremony, we explored some of Chapel in the Hollow’s most beloved photo locations. Portraits were captured at the chapel, beneath the archway, beside the mossy tree, and along the vines — all softly dusted with snow. The winter light gave everything a quiet, ethereal glow, making each image feel cinematic and deeply romantic.
This is the beauty of a romantic forest micro wedding: time to breathe, space to explore, and photos that truly reflect the couple’s connection.

Relaxed Country Winter Wedding – Nikki and Tanner

Relaxed Country Winter Wedding
in the Smoky Mountains

Nikki + Tanner – January 22, 2026

There’s no better way to ring in a new year than with a love story, and Nikki + Tanner’s relaxed country winter wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was the perfect start to 2024. Nestled in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, their cozy celebration embraced romance, rustic charm, and personal touches that made every detail feel like home. If you’re dreaming of a laid-back, heartfelt wedding surrounded by nature’s beauty, this one’s for you.

A Soft, Romantic Setting for a Country Winter Wedding

Nikki and Tanner embraced the natural charm of a winter wedding in East Tennessee and dressed the chapel in blush and burgundy fabric, accented by our moody florals. These warm tones created a beautiful contrast against the winter landscape and added a romantic, candlelit glow to the setting.

To keep guests cozy, they provided blankets at the ceremony — a thoughtful touch that speaks to their generous hearts and the comfort-forward atmosphere they created. Whether it’s 30 degrees or 60 (and in East Tennessee, it can be either in January!), winter weddings at Chapel in the Hollow offer the chance for rustic elegance wrapped in Southern warmth.

Thoughtful Touches That Told Their Story

From the beginning, it was clear that this wasn’t just a wedding — it was a celebration of love, family, and memory. Nikki and Tanner incorporated two memorial tables to honor loved ones who had passed. These small, meaningful gestures are part of what make intimate weddings so special — a chance to hold everyone close, even those who can’t be there physically.

Their two-layer cake, topped with fresh florals, was simple and beautiful. And instead of a traditional guestbook, they brought a cowhide with their last name branded on it for guests to sign — a rustic, personal keepsake that perfectly fit their country style. 🤠

Southern Style Meets Sweet Romance

Nikki absolutely glowed in a long ivory gown with cap sleeves, and her playful personality came through with her pink boots — an adorable nod to her country roots. After the ceremony, she layered up in a fuzzy pink jacket and matching hat, adding warmth, style, and fun to her portraits. ❄️💗

Tanner brought his own flavor to the day with a brown dress jacket, blue patterned shirt, and cowboy hat, staying true to the couple’s relaxed and down-to-earth style. Together, they were the picture of effortless country elegance.

A Ceremony Full of Emotion and Meaning

Few moments were as moving as when Nikki walked herself down the aisle. Strong, radiant, and full of anticipation, she stepped into a new chapter with confidence — and when Tanner saw her, he couldn’t hold back the tears. 🥹

Each was joined at the altar by an Ashley — a sweet and funny bit of symmetry that added charm to the already emotional ceremony. They chose to read personal vows to each other and included a handfasting ceremony, symbolizing their unity and commitment. This ancient Celtic tradition is becoming more popular with modern couples looking to infuse intention and spiritual meaning into their vows — and it was a perfect fit for Nikki and Tanner.

A Warm Winter Light and Magical Portraits

After the ceremony and family portraits at the chapel, we wandered into the field to capture couple portraits in the soft winter light. January can surprise us with beautiful golden hour glow, and this day was no exception — the Smoky Mountains offered a breathtaking backdrop of rolling hills and fading winter hues.

Their portraits felt cinematic — the kind of love you can see just by watching how they look at each other. Whether cuddling close for warmth or laughing under the wide Tennessee sky, they made magic in every frame. 📸🌄

Smoky Mountain New Year’s Eve Elopement – Todd and Agnieszka

Smoky Mountain New Year’s Eve Elopement

Todd and Agnieszka – December 31, 2025

There’s something undeniably special about closing one chapter and beginning another on New Year’s Eve — and for Todd and Agnieszka, a quiet Smoky Mountain elopement was the perfect way to do just that. ❄️🤍

Not ones to seek the spotlight, Todd and Agnieszka knew from the beginning that a traditional, large wedding wasn’t for them. Instead, they dreamed of something intimate, meaningful, and deeply personal. They found exactly that at Chapel in the Hollow, tucked away in the forests of East Tennessee and surrounded by the calm beauty of the Smoky Mountains.

A Winter Setting Made for an Intimate New Year’s Eve Elopement

For their New Year’s Eve elopement, the chapel was styled with soft white fabric paired with our signature blue berry winter florals, creating an elegant, serene winter atmosphere. The look was timeless and understated — perfect for a couple who wanted their love, not the décor, to be the center of the day.

The Smokies in winter have a quiet magic all their own. Bare trees, crisp air, and gentle winter light wrapped the ceremony space in a peaceful stillness, allowing every moment to feel intentional and unrushed. For couples searching for a Smoky Mountain winter elopement or a New Year’s Eve wedding in Tennessee, this setting is truly unmatched.

Effortless Style with Thoughtful Details

Agnieszka looked effortlessly chic in a champagne dress adorned with delicate pearl details that caught the soft winter light beautifully. She paired her gown with a medium-length veil and a faux fur shrug — equal parts stylish and practical for a December elopement in the mountains. Her bouquet of pink roses added the sweetest pop of color against the winter whites and blues, tying everything together with a romantic touch.

Todd complemented her look perfectly in a classic black suit with a white shirt and a pink tie that subtly echoed her bouquet. Together, they embodied timeless elegance with a soft, romantic edge — ideal for an intimate winter elopement.

A Love Story Rooted in Quiet Connection

Todd and Agnieszka met four years ago in a Latin dance class, and that quiet, steady connection between them was palpable throughout the day. Todd was visibly nervous as the ceremony began — the kind of nerves that only come from deep love and sincerity.

When it came time to read the vows he had written, emotion took over. His voice broke, tears flowed, and the moment became beautifully raw and real. It was one of those reminders of why elopements are so powerful — stripped of expectations, every word and feeling matters just a little bit more.

Winter Light, Mountain Views, and a Touch of New Year’s Eve Magic

After the ceremony, we explored some of our favorite photo spots around the property, starting at the chapel and archway before heading to the highlands and open field. Despite the cold, the lighting was absolutely stunning — soft, glowing, and uniquely Smoky Mountain winter.

As if the day hadn’t already been magical enough, a plane flew overhead during portraits, perfectly timed for a few unforgettable New Year’s Eve images. A quiet nod to endings, beginnings, and the journey ahead. ✈️✨

From the Bride

We met at a Latin Dance Class. On our first date we went ice skating. Todd proposed out in nature on a hike near Chattanooga, Tennessee. Todd grew up here and was familiar with area, knew we wanted to elope, and found Chapel in the Hollow on Google. We are looking forward to having an intimate ceremony in nature where it is just the two of us. We picked this date because we thought it would be a great way to enter the New Year. We enjoy hiking, latin dancing and we also collect ornaments from our adventures.

Winter Afternoon Wedding – Maci and Patrick

Cozy Winter Afternoon Wedding at Chapel in the Hollow

Maci and Patrick – December 29, 2025

Winter weddings have a special kind of magic—quiet, intimate, and full of warmth—and Maci and Patrick’s winter afternoon wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a beautiful example of just how meaningful a December celebration in the Smoky Mountains can be.
From the very beginning, their day felt intentional, emotional, and deeply rooted in love and family. Nestled in the forest of East Tennessee, Chapel in the Hollow provided the perfect backdrop for a cozy micro wedding that embraced the season rather than fighting it.

A Soft, Wintry Chapel Design Perfect for December

Maci and Patrick chose to dress the chapel in white fabric paired with our blue berry winter florals, creating a soft, serene color palette that felt effortlessly wintery. The crisp whites against the natural wood tones of the chapel, accented by cool blue berries and seasonal greenery, gave the space a peaceful glow—ideal for a winter afternoon ceremony.
Winter weddings at Chapel in the Hollow are especially beautiful because the surrounding forest feels calm and still, allowing the ceremony space and the couple’s connection to truly shine. This design choice complemented the December landscape perfectly while keeping everything timeless and elegant.

A Bride, a Groom, and a Moment That Stopped Time

Maci looked absolutely radiant in her sleeveless gown with a delicate lace overlay, a beautiful choice that felt both romantic and effortless. As she got ready, her mom was right by her side—one of those quiet, emotional moments that often becomes just as meaningful as the ceremony itself.
When it was time to walk down the aisle, Maci’s dad escorted her through the forest chapel. The moment Patrick saw her, emotions took over—he immediately started tearing up, completely overcome by the sight of his bride. It was one of those genuine, unscripted reactions that reminds everyone why intimate weddings are so powerful.
Patrick’s look perfectly matched the relaxed, heartfelt tone of the day. Wearing jeans, a white dress shirt, and a tan suit jacket, he struck the ideal balance between classic and comfortable—perfect for a winter afternoon wedding in the Smoky Mountains.

A Ceremony Full of Joy and Connection

Their ceremony was sweet, emotional, and filled with happiness. Surrounded by family and the quiet beauty of the woods, Maci and Patrick exchanged vows in a space that felt personal and deeply meaningful. Winter weddings often encourage couples to slow down and be present, and these two truly soaked in every moment.
After the ceremony, we moved seamlessly into family photos, capturing the love and connection between everyone who had gathered to celebrate them. Because micro weddings keep guest counts small, couples often have more time for meaningful portraits—and Maci and Patrick’s gallery reflects that beautifully.

Cake, Toasts, and Winter Portraits in the Smoky Mountains

Following family photos, Maci and Patrick shared a few sweet moments with their cake before enjoying a cozy toast with sparkling apple juice—a thoughtful, seasonal touch that felt perfectly aligned with their December wedding.
We then transitioned into couple portraits, photographing them around the chapel and out in the open field. The Smoky Mountains gave us a quiet, wintery backdrop—soft light, muted tones, and that peaceful December atmosphere that makes winter weddings so special.
Yes, it was cold—but the warmth between these two made every photo glow.

Country Winter Wedding – Haley and Michael

Country Winter Wedding in the Smoky Mountains

Haley and Michael – December 28, 2025

There’s something incredibly special about a country winter wedding — the quiet of the season, the closeness of family, and the way love seems to glow even brighter against the softness of winter light. Haley and Michael’s December wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a beautiful example of everything a winter wedding in the Smoky Mountains can be: heartfelt, intimate, and deeply meaningful.
From the moment they arrived, it was clear that this day wasn’t just about saying “I do” — it was about celebrating family, faith, and the new life they’ve created together.

A Warm Country Winter Wedding Design

Haley and Michael chose to dress the chapel in white and gold fabric, paired with our red berry winter florals, lanterns, and gold décor package. The result was a warm, festive glow that felt perfectly suited for a December celebration in the woods. The soft candlelight and rich winter textures created an inviting atmosphere that balanced rustic charm with elegant seasonal detail.
Winter weddings at Chapel in the Hollow are especially magical because the natural forest backdrop pairs beautifully with cozy décor elements. For couples dreaming of a Smoky Mountain winter wedding that feels both romantic and relaxed, this style is a perfect fit.

Haley’s Emotional Walk Down the Aisle

Haley looked absolutely stunning in her sophisticated white gown, featuring a deep neckline and a long, flowing train that moved gracefully as she walked. The getting-ready moments were filled with emotion and love — her mom helped her into her dress while her bonus mom lovingly cared for their one-month-old baby nearby.
When it was time for the ceremony, Haley’s dad walked her down the aisle, a moment full of pride, happy tears, and quiet joy. These are the kinds of moments that make family-focused weddings so powerful — intimate, personal, and unforgettable.

Michael’s Nerves Turn to Joy

Michael kept things classic and country in jeans, a white dress shirt, and a black suit jacket — a timeless look that fit the relaxed winter setting perfectly. He admitted he was incredibly nervous before the ceremony, but the instant he saw Haley, everything changed. His nerves melted away and were replaced with pure joy, the kind that says this is exactly where I’m meant to be.
That moment — the shift from nerves to overwhelming happiness — is one we see often at intimate weddings, and it never fails to give us chills.

A Cord of Three Strands Ceremony Filled with Meaning

One of the most touching parts of Haley and Michael’s wedding was their cord of three strands ceremony, symbolizing faith, unity, and love. In an especially emotional moment, Haley’s mom brought their one-month-old baby forward so they could be part of the ritual.
There truly wasn’t a dry eye in sight. This beautiful inclusion perfectly reflected who Haley and Michael are as a couple — grounded in love, faith, and family. If you’re planning a ceremony that reflects your values, we love helping couples incorporate meaningful traditions like this into their day.

Winter Portraits in Moody Smoky Mountain Light

After the ceremony, we captured family photos at the chapel before heading out for couple portraits. We photographed Haley and Michael at the chapel, then moved to the highland area and the road, where the overcast winter sky created a beautifully moody atmosphere.
Despite being December, the day turned out warmer than expected — and these two were absolutely glowing. The soft winter light, quiet forest, and peaceful surroundings made for portraits that feel timeless, emotional, and deeply connected.
This is one of the reasons couples love choosing a winter wedding in East Tennessee: fewer crowds, stunning natural light, and an intimate experience that lets your love take center stage.
