Woodsy Winter Elopement – Kristen and Zachary

Kristen and Zachary – February 22, 2022

Woodsy Winter Elopement

Kristen and Zachary joined us for our second woodsy winter elopement of the day. They dressed the chapel in navy and blush with our moody florals. She had the loveliest fluffy dress, and he looked so dapper in his navy suit. Her little blue shoes were a great coordinating touch, and he got some fancy frames for the wedding day. These two were so adorable together!! Congratulations, Kristen and Zach!
From the Bride:
Zach and I met in 2014. We instantly became close friends and over a short time that friendship turned into something more beautiful and powerful than either of us had ever imagined. We are best friends before anything else. He’s my person. I’m his…. Sometimes it’s hard to describe it, everything just works when we’re together and nothing about the world makes sense without “”US.” Together, we are raising 4 daughters. From teenagers to toddlers we are taking on chaos together. Zach took me to granite city for the first date. It was a quiet afternoon lunch so we had few distractions. We spent a lot of time talking and laughing.
We’ve been hanging out and laughing ever since.
Zach proposed in 2019. Zach is always planning nice little get aways and small adventures for us. For this trip he had planned something a little extra special. We had just went through a very challenging pregnancy that left us both needing some extra time away together. Zach is the planner. I always go with flow and he’s always so good at finding the best places for us to visit and things for us to do. However, this trip was a surprise! I knew we were going away for the weekend, it would be our first weekend away since having our daughter and our last trip before I went back to work. He didn’t tell me anything. It was unusual for him to not be excitedly going over our plans for days leading up to our trip. As much as I don’t like surprises, he wasn’t giving up the details no matter now much I pried and I trusted him to plan a great trip. We ended up at a beautiful castle in Mohican. He had reserved an amazing suite on the most beautiful property. Of course it was more than perfect. And I was completely clueless ! Once we had settled in we decided to head out and explore the property. As I was walking out he said to hold on, he had forgot something. I waited by the door. After a minute I heard him call for me and when I turned around to see what he needed, he was right there on one knee! It was absolutely perfect. We celebrated with our favorite wine and our favorite whisky and enjoyed our amazing weekend at Landols castle.
We both have been wanting to vacation to Tennessee for years now. We knew we wanted a small intimate destination wedding. East Tennessee was a no-brainer for this special trip! We are most looking forward to taking romantic pictures!
We chose our date because it’s just so fun!

Just the two of us!
We love our Harley and spend a lot of time finding new adventures on the road. Our girls keep us super busy, but we wouldn’t trade a minute of it. We’re always looking for fun family activities to do. For a quick day date we love to go to thrift stores or garage sales looking for treasures. We’ve been known to hang out at baseball games and we’ve mastered every escape room we’ve ever been to.
