Winter Wedding in Tennessee – Melanie and Matt

Melanie and Matt joined us on this chilly February day to celebrate their winter wedding in Tennessee with their favorite people. They chose the champagne fabric with our blue florals, and they had the most adorable little flower girl who walked down with a super cute sign. Melanie was looking gorgeous in her dress, and Matt’s face lit up when he saw her. We managed to wrap things up right as the rain started in. Congratulations, Melanie and Matt!!

From the Bride:

We met while playing co-ed softball for the local church. We just spoke to each other in passing, and we lost touch after the season was over. We were both getting out of long term relationships. After months had passed, we both decided to put ourselves out there and signed up on a dating website. Little did we know what the other was doing. I believe it was Fate! We both signed up on the same site the same day and were each others first match! It was love there on after!!

Our first date started out funny…but was a warning as to what the future would hold for me! I ( Melanie ) drove to matts house. When I arrived he was just getting out of shower. He was running behind from getting off work late. As we set out we decided to take my vehicle. We arrived at this little Italian restaurant and matt starts panicking that he forgot his wallet. Little did I know that this would be an issue that I would have to deal with for life 🙂 So instead of turning back I insisted that I would pay. He was so embarrassed! We had great conversation, dinner and haven’t stopped seeing each other since. No proposal. Really our daughter proposed for us when I became pregnant! We chose the date because it’s the same as our first date. 

We chose East Tennessee because it’s a beautiful place and worked with our visions of a wedding. 

What are we most looking forward to? 
Getting to officially be Mrs. Johnston and feeling like a princess!- Melanie
