Tennessee Wedding – Lou and Ryan

Tennessee Wedding

Lou and Ryan – October 13, 2023

Lou and Ryan’s love story reached new heights as they said “I do” at Chapel in the Hollow for their Tennessee wedding. Their choice of hunter green and blush fabric, paired with our bohemian florals, transformed the chapel into a haven of natural beauty.
Lou looked radiant in her long-sleeved lacy dress, a vision of grace and elegance, while Ryan exuded charm in his tan pants, crisp white dress shirt, and suspenders. Surrounded by her closest friends, Lou prepared for her special day, and the bond of friendship added an extra layer of love to the occasion.
In a touching tribute to his mother, Ryan had a picture of her in the front row, adorned with a single rose. Her spirit filled the chapel, reminding everyone of her presence. As Lou took those unforgettable steps down the aisle by herself, all eyes were on her, and the moment Ryan laid eyes on his beautiful bride, the emotion became too much to contain. Tears of joy flowed, celebrating the love they were about to share.
Their wedding was not only a celebration of their commitment but a joyful declaration of their fun-loving spirits. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. We were thrilled to be a part of it!
From the Bride and Groom:
Their love story began during the rise of the COVID pandemic. In the heat of the virus spreading, Lou and Ryan ignored all rules and met online via Facebook. Ryan was the first one to make the move and wrote Lou. He gave her his phone # and shortly after, Lou gave him a call. After a couple of days of talking via text and phone calls, Lou asked if he’d like to met her in person despite what the world was facing and the frowned upon meeting of anyone new. We knew the consequences, but we still took the leap to meet. Ryan was super nervous and the reason Lou knew is because when she shook/held his hand, he had sweaty palms. Lou thought it was sweet knowing that he was that nervous to meet her in person. They had a great meet n’ greet but Lou still had her reservations about starting a relationship. Her story was that she was waiting on her job to give her the thumbs up that they will remain virtual even after the lockdown was lifted in hopes that she could move back north to her home state of Michigan. With Ryan knowing this information, he was still adamant that he could convince Lou to stay and give this relationship a try. After a month of back n’ forth, Lou finally caved in and said yes to Ryan and became his girlfriend. They made it official on 11/13/2020. In the coming months, Lou finally got word that her position will remain virtual and if she wanted to move, she could. Ryan was scared & nervous because he didn’t want to lose Lou. He made a deal with her to give him a year and if it doesn’t work out, than she can go with her original plan and move back home to Michigan as she intended. Well, a year went by and Lou decided to stay. She fell in love as much as he fell in love with her. Ryan caught Lou by storm and little did she know, she would love him more than anyone. Lou was that girl that said she’ll never marry, but guess what, Ryan broke down those walls and her “rules” and here we are now, Lou’s getting married and Ryan got his girl to stay. P.S. Ryan has kept every single text message since that very first day they spoke.
If you ask Lou, they never had a first date. If you ask Ryan, he said their first date was on Valentine’s day ( months after they started dating). And during that so called “first date”, another couple paid for their meal.
Ryan proposed to Lou during their 2 year anniversary trip. They were enjoying a weekend getaway in a cabin in northern Indiana on a beautiful fall crisp afternoon. Lou was sitting at the table munching on the charcuterie platter and to her right, she hears Ryan talking on bended knee. Don’t ask Lou what was said because all she can remember was being shocked and with Ryan shedding tears, she too started crying. The only thing that Lou can remember from that proposal was Ryan asking her to marry him. She tearfully said, “yes!”. They embraced each other along with some kisses and that was the start of their next chapter together as an engaged couple.
Ryan LOVES Tennessee and Lou wanted to pay homage to the place they went on their first trip together, and when he made a promise that we’d marry someday. That someday has come! They are looking forward to finally making it official in their Tennessee wedding!
Friday the 13th has always been a lucky day for the bride. In fact, groom & bride made their relationship boyfriend/girlfriend official 3 years ago on Friday the 13th. Last but not least, the bride has a thing with numbers. If you add 10 (month) + 13 (day) = 23 (year).
Date nights are reserved for Friday’s. Whether it be at home getting take out, going thru a drive-thru or simply eating at a restaurant, we use this time to reconnect from the crazy that is life and be together.
