Tennessee Elopement – Angie and Chad

Angie and Chad – October 18, 2021

Tennessee Elopement

Angie and Chad joined us this morning for a Tennessee elopement. They dressed the chapel in champagne and white with our bohemian fall florals, and Angie brought a gorgeous bouquet to go with it. They brought lots of fun details that made for great photos. Congratulations, Angie and Chad!!
From the Bride:
I knew who Chad was when we were children. We both went to the same local public pool in Junior High and early High School, although we never hung out together. A year ago, Chad contacted me and we talked for a couple of months prior to meeting and having our first date. We met at the Sternwheel Festival in Pomeroy Ohio to get acquainted and our first official date was Millstone BBQ in Logan Ohio for dinner.
He proposed. I am a nurse. Throughout Covid, we haven’t done a whole lot, to stay healthy and keep from catching it and giving it to our families and grandkids, we just basically work and stay home. He had been making hints to go here or there or to dinner but I always said “nah” ….. I guess I wasn’t making things easy on him to have a “special” proposal lol. So one morning, I was working from home, I still had my pj’s on and was sitting on the deck with my laptop. My 5 year old grand son was there with us that day as well. Chad said there’s something I need to ask you. I said ok …… but then he and my grandson disappeared into the house. A short while later, my grandson sat next to me on the patio sofa and Chad was on the other side, pacing, jittery and looking like he was about to throw up. He told my grandson to “go ahead and give it to Mamaw” my grandson handed me a little black velvet box and as he did, Chad said, “ will you marry me?” I loved that he included my grandson in on the proposal as my grandson is my very best friend, my heart and soul. I don’t think I could have came up with a better, more special proposal than this. To include my little guy was as special as it comes ❤️
We both love Tennessee, the mountains and fall. I wanted something private, personal and intimate but something beautiful for us. I wanted something we could show off, be proud of and have lifelong memories of. Our own special day. We are most excited for creating the best memory for both of us. Having a day filled with love and admiration for each other. Sealing a bond that no one can break. Marrying my best friend. For fun, we camp and boat with the grandkids. Ride the Harley when time permits. Travel when we can.
