Sophisticated Country Micro Wedding – Jenny and Zaid

Jenny and Zaid – October 17, 2021

Sophisticated Country Micro Wedding

Jenny and Zaid joined us for their sophisticated country micro wedding. They dressed the chapel in burgundy and black with our moody Halloween florals. Her mom made her gorgeous bouquet, and that dress was perfection! Zaid rocked a cowboy hat, and Jenny brought a specialty jacket that was super cute! She played an instrumental version of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica as she walked down the aisle. So sweet! Congratulations, Jenny and Zaid!
From the Bride:
We met in August of 2020, at an engagement party that neither of us planned on going to. Zaid introduced himself to me, and I swore he said his name was Jose. The entire time a mutual friend of mine was trying to convince me to get to know him and give him a chance, but I was not interested. A few days later he sent me a friend request on facebook and sent me a message saying how he would love to get to know me and would like to take me out for a drink or dinner some time. At the time I was not wanting to be in a relationship and instead focus on myself and my future. We have been talking every single day since that first facebook message LOL
Our first official date was at Boomerjacks where he also met my fur baby Simba. We got dinner and a few drinks and talked a lot. Our first date was not the first time we met up, but it was our first official date ad we got to know each other better.
Zaid proposed. He surprised me at my job. I had went to the store and when I was driving back to the office I parked in the back of my office and there he was with flowers. I thought he was just being sweet wanting to surprise me. I was so happy and cheesing because he knows how much I love surprises. I asked him what he was doing here and he said “you know why” and dropped on one knee and said “I know I can be a pain in your butt, but can I be a pain in your butt for the rest of your life?” and of course I began crying and laughing and said yes.
We both love to travel and love woodsy/hilly areas. Jennifer loves spooky/dark woodsy areas and well Zaid loves all outdoors, so we felt a beautiful fall destination wedding would be perfect for us. We are from Texas where moody dark woodsy areas are not easy to find, and one day Zaid came across Chapel in the Hollow and we both fell in love with the area.
We both are looking forward to marrying our best friend.
I am looking forward to seeing Zaid’s reaction to me coming down the aisle. We began dating on 10/24/2020, we wanted a date close to our one year anniversary. Zaid and I like to try new restaurants, take our 3 fur babies to parks/outdoors, and we love to travel and see new places. If we are not busy we are usually at home with our 3 fur babies watching a true crime documentary, a movie or show.
