Keri and Nyki – October 16, 2021
Same Sex Micro Wedding
For our second wedding of the day, Keri and Nyki joined us for a beautiful same sex micro wedding with their nearest and dearest. They dressed the chapel in burgundy and black with some amazing fresh florals from Echelon Florist. You probably know by now how much I love a black dress so don’t be surprised that I may have went a bit overboard with extra photos, lol. These ladies looked SO amazing together! Playing with that black veil out in the field gave us a little something extra. Congratulations, Keri and Nyki!!
From the Brides:
We met on Tinder and I (Keri) wore her down and she finally agreed to have a drink with me. For the first date, we were both nervous, and Keri fell down a stair, twisting her ankle. Nyki still to this day makes fun of her for it. It was a good ice breaker and we were able to laugh about it and had great conversation well into the morning. Things just felt easy and natural with each other.
Keri proposed at one of our favorite restaurants in Evansville. She got nervous and started talking fast and weird. When she got up, Nyki started telling her no and to sit down. Everyone in the restaurant was looking and very quiet, which added to our nerves. Keri said some stuff that neither of us remember and Nyki finally said yes after looking stunned for a hot minute.
We chose East Tennessee because of the outdoor locations and the beauty in the fall. Fall is our favorite time of year and we wanted a place that felt secluded and off the beaten path for our ceremony. We are looking forward to being with friends and family to celebrate our nuptials. We like to go on motorcycle rides, concerts and try new fun places to eat.
