Ashley and Justin – October 14, 2021
Stress Free Fall Elopement
Ashley and Justing joined us this morning for a stress free fall elopement. They dressed the chapel in white fabric with our bohemian fall florals. She was all smiles as soon as she showed up, and they were just adorable! Justin used his vape to give us some atmosphere behind a few of her bridal shots, and we had the most gorgeous lighting at the field! Congratulations, Ashley and Justin!!!
From the Bride:
We met through a mutual friend at a birthday party when we were 17 in September 2011. We starting talking and hanging out constantly and it just never ended. Our first date was a Skillet concert we went to with his church. After constantly talking on the phone he invited me to go with him to this concert. I remember freaking out because I was working my first job and I had to lie to get out working that weekend for the first time. Not knowing that job would no longer matter and this would be the guy I’d marry. It was so much fun and the day we went to the concert would end up being the official beginning of our relationship.
Justin proposed. It was Christmas Eve 2017. We went out to a really nice dinner and after we got home he told me he had an early Christmas present for me. He told me to close my eyes and when I opened them, he was kneeling in front of our Christmas tree. He barely had the chance to ask me before I said yes and hugged him. At this point we had been together for five years and I still didn’t see it coming.
We chose East Tennessee for our stress free fall elopement because we love the mountains. We originally thought about Colorado but decided on the Smokies instead because it’s a lot closer and warmer for the time of year we wanted to get married. I’m most looking forward to a stress free day full of love. The reason we decided to elope alone is because we didn’t want to deal with the stresses that come planning a wedding and we really don’t care for all the attention. We just wanted to focus on us and we’re really looking forward to that. Plus the pictures 🙂 I know they’re going to be beautiful. Our anniversary is January 14. I’ve always loved the idea of an October wedding so October 14 felt right.
Justin is really into cars and has a turbo miata that he puts a A LOT of time and effort in. I love to do home projects and turning our home into the perfect cozy space. We love to go to eat together a lot and are always looking for new places to try.
