Amanda and Dan – October 14, 2021
October Mini Wedding
Amanda and Dan joined us to say I Do again in our second October mini wedding today. They dressed the chapel in white with our bohemian fall florals, and she brought some cute dried florals to coordinate. They brought an army of people that set to work decorating the chapel as soon as they arrived and made it look extra beautiful for fall. Their son and daughter stood up with them, and they make such a cute family! Congratulations, Amanda and Dan!
From the Bride:
We shared Mutual Friends and quickly became friends ourselves! We were friends for 2 years before we ever started dating. Then we dated for 2 years before we got Married the first time. Our official “first date” after moving from friends to actually “dating” was to a Lincoln Park Concert. We share a Love for Music!
He proposed to Me this Past Christmas Day. He had Several different sized Boxes all individually wrapped. Each Box that I unwrapped contained another Boxer to unwrap. I worked my way to a tiny box where inside was my ring! Then He said “I love you so much, will you Marry Me”
We both Love Vacations down to the Tennessee Mountains! Driving down the road seeing the Mountains off in the distance just makes my heart so Happy!! Truly a Magnificent and Beautiful Place!! We actually plan on Moving from Ohio to Tennessee once our Son Graduates High School in 2 years!!
We are most looking forward to having Our Son (16) and our Daughter (20) walk me down the aisle to their Dad!! We were Married to each other once before, for Almost 15 years!! Sadly life can be very Hard and can get Messy sometimes. The stress of raising Children, finances and me Going back to College twice to continue furthering My Nursing Career took its toll on both of us and we lost our way. We Forgot to Put Our relationship and each other First! We divorced in January 2019. Although no longer Married we Continued to Co-Parent our Children and communicate well. It was 1 year and 4 months of being divorced before we finally admitted to each other How much we both Missed each other, and How very Much we Both Still Loved One another! We Missed Our best friends, which was each other!!! The Love that We Had, Never stopped!! I would say that we officially got back together at a Bonfire/Party that we Had for Our Daughter’s High School Graduation in May 2020. He “re-proposed” to Me last Christmas Day, and Of Course I said YES!!!! Our first Wedding Ceremony was very simple and done in a Gazebo at our local park. No fancy dress/suit, no bouquet and only a few pictures captured on cell phones by a couple of family members. This Time we are doing it right!!! We are starting A New Chapter, so with that we have decided to have a New Wedding Date, New rings, Beautiful photography that we Never Had the first time that we will be able to Hang up in our Home, and this time I will be wearing an actual wedding dress. As the saying Goes, You don’t know what You really have until it is gone. Its because of what we have been through, what we have over come, that We truly have a New found Love and appreciation for One another!!! I am Most looking forward to the Moment I am His Wife, and He is my Husband once again!!!
We Both Love Fall, its our Favorite Season! So We Knew we wanted Mid to Late October and Just decided on the 14th. We have started Kayaking this year and Love it!! We love watching Movies and either sitting on our back deck or around our bonfire pit listening to Music .
