Star Wars Inspired Micro Wedding – Brittany and Paul

Brittany and Paul – May 4, 2023

Star Wars Inspired Micro Wedding

Brittany and Paul joined us for a Star Wars inspired micro wedding. They dressed the chapel in white and lilac with our lavender florals. She looked adorable in her floral dress, and we loved the music and star wars details. Her dad performed the ceremony and got a little choked up toward the end. They had some tasty strawberry and chocolate cake along with a toast by his dad. Congratulations, Brittany and Paul! May the 4th be with you!
From the Bride:

We met on Hinge through a suggested connection. Paul had super liked me and God spoke to me telling me that is him. I can remember standing at the fridge in pause of that’s him, but then shrugging the feeling off like nah, I’m crazy. For Paul he says it was the instant connection over conversation. How natural everything felt. We could and still can talk without end.

Depends on what you call the first date. We talked over the phone for many hours during the work week before meeting. Both of us were so nervous from the hype of messaging neither of us wanted to loose the connection we had in long messages (almost letters). While both of us were timid at first the conversation was natural, instant bond, …instant best friends. We both knew we wanted to be together instantly. Our first physical date, Paul was nervous arrived an hour early to meet at a local pizza brewery. We shared pizza and bonded over fried pickles. Knowing he had a fondness of game I suggested we go to a free arcade to get competitive over nostalgia. After dominating Mortal Kombat, Pac-Man, Centipede and the like Paul won back his competition in classic pinballs. Early bird morning lunch, turned into afternoon fun, and since neither of us wanted the date to end we hopped over to a nearby park and talked to the late hours of the evening. We knew we were going to be married.
We talked about getting married since our first date. We knew our story was only beginning and wanted it go a lifetime. I actually bought my dress on a whim after our second date. We figured after a long weekend together why not go look at rings and see what we like. After finding what we liked and getting everything resized I was wanting him to propose instantly. But, he made me wait till I was good and mad at him angry cleaning my car out. He called me over to the garden, chicken coop like something was wrong. In the midst of chickens and dogs running around he asked me to marry him.
We chose East Tennessee for our Star Wars inspired micro wedding because we wanted something intimate and a place we didn’t have to worry about all the little details.
We are most looking forward to being married, lol. We chose the date because I am a Star Wars fan, and we love the late spring season in Tennessee.
We enjoy working on projects together, having quality time in the evenings with the fur babies -all of us snuggled up in bed. Both of us love the water and can spend all day riding the waves. We are looking forward to warmer weather to get in some camping and kayaking time this summer. We both have a soft spot for animals and have ourselves a little urban homestead we are now building together.
