Casual Country Wedding – Tanya and Heath

Tanya and Heath – May 2, 2023

Casual Country Wedding

Tanya and Heath joined us for a casual country wedding. They dressed the chapel in sand and navy with our blue and yellow florals. She looked amazing and had the perfect veil for a little bit of a flutter. She kindly left it for future brides to use! He looked fab, and he’s a musician! We have a spot with some logs we cut not too long ago that we are considering offering for future use, and they let us experiment with them. They looked amazing!!! These two were so much fun. Congratulations, Tanya and Heath!!
From the Bride:
Our moms kinda played match maker. His mom is my mom’s boss. My mom asked me to be her date for a work Christmas party. His mom decided to invite him. I originally friend requested him on Facebook and he denied me. Once I showed up at the party I sent the friend request again. This time he excepted and the rest is history. For our first date, Heath invited me over to his house and he cooked for us. We really can’t say what our first date was like other then it must have been good for us to still be together after all these years.
The proposal was very unusual, as Heath was not feeling well at all on Christmas day. We opened all of our gifts and he was having some eye issues and couldn’t keep his eyes open. He got up for the package and threw it at me and said nothing. I opened it and told him how pretty it was etc. Put it back in box and waited. Later on in evening when he woke up he asked if the ring fit and why I wasn’t wearing it. I told him if this was an engagement ring he had to put it on my hand. He then did that and said we both know what this means and we didn’t have to do all the traditional stuff. We are looking forward to becoming husband and wife! We decided on an East Tennessee wedding because I love Tennessee and came across the Chapel in Hollow.  I said to Heath, you wanna go there to get married. He said sure. We picked (May) the 2nd because Heath and I and his daughter all have birthdays on the 2nd. So we decided to keep it going.
For our fun free time, Heath plays in a bluegrass band so most of our weekends are filled with shows. Date nights usually include dinner and a movie. Every few weekends we get to spend time with our grandson, while his parents work. He’s the highlight of our life.
