Snowy Winter Elopement – LeeAnn and Scott

Snowy Winter Elopement

LeeAnn and Scott – January 16. 2025

LeeAnn and Scott’s snowy winter elopement at Chapel in the Hollow was a magical affair, truly a scene out of a winter wonderland!  They chose a minimalistic yet elegant decor, bringing black lanterns and handmade florals that beautifully adorned the chapel steps, complementing the sporadic snow around the chapel area.
LeeAnn looked stunning in a long-sleeved black dress with bead accents and a medium train, draped under a dramatic long black cape veil. Scott was sharp in his black suit, both of them embodying a chic, winter-elegant style.
LeeAnn walked herself down the aisle, meeting Scott’s smiling gaze in a moment filled with pure joy and love. One of the most unique aspects of their ceremony was a coffee unity ceremony, symbolizing their blending lives in a warm, inviting manner. The couple celebrated their union with a cookie cake designed to mimic a snowy texture, perfect for their winter theme.
After saying their vows, we captured their love amidst the serene settings of a snowy road, a tucked-away snowy spot, and a field with a breathtaking mountain view in the background.
Congratulations, LeeAnn and Scott! Your elopement was as beautiful and unique as the bond you share. Here’s to many cozy winters together!
From the Bride
We actually met in an OCR/Spartan group on Facebook back in early 2017. We just kind of started messaging each other about music and races. I had just started getting into Spartan races, and he was way more knowledgeable in it. So I would message him and ask questions about certain venues I was going to. We quickly became good friends. We talked about everything under the sun. I remember when Scott first called me, I thought he was a telemarketer, I was about to hang up on him, until he told me who he was. In August 2017 he told me he needed a haircut, so I jokingly told him to come and get one. Not expecting him to make the 2 hour drive. Well, he called my bluff and drove all the way to the Salon I was working at. He stayed, and we just talked, and hung out for hours. About a week later, Scott went to a race in West Virginia, and on his travel home on Monday he asked me about getting lunch. So I offered to meet him halfway. We stopped and ate at McAlister’s in a town about 45 minutes from where I live. It was the best time. On Tuesday, he had asked me about coming to visit him, I declined and chose to go the gym. While at the gym I fell and broke my ankle, tibia and fibula. I called Scott and told him what had happened, and he drove 2 hours to come and be by my side, and the rest is history. 7.5 years later we are getting MARRIED!!
Scott proposed to me. Our thing has always been drinking coffee together in the morning- in bed, on the porch, on the balcony while on vacation. We were celebrating our 7 years anniversary in Big Canoe near Jasper, Georgia, in a super cute tree house. We were watching the sunrise over the mountains. Scott had gone inside to refill our coffee cups, and when he walked backout he gave me my coffee. He placed the ring box in my lap. He told me “I want to do this with you for forever”. Not realizing what he had actually said, I looked at the box and asked what it was. Then I asked him if he was for real. He said “yes”, and asked me to marry him. Of course I cried and said “yes”.
Tennessee has always been a place that he and I enjoy coming to every winter. We love hiking and enjoying the snow. It just made perfect sense! On our wedding day I am looking forward to just marrying my best friend, and it being just a simple, not so chaotic ordeal. We picked this date because we were already in Tennessee for our trip. So, we thought it would be the perfect time. Plus, I think it would be neat to get married in the snow. I might freeze to death, but it’ll be pretty, if it snows.
We both enjoy working out, running, hiking, doing OCR events, playing cards, and being silly with each other. I’m a mom, prior to he and I being together, so sometimes we play nerf gun wars with my 9 year old. I also have an 18 year old, he and Scott like to crack jokes at me. They’re both smart asses.
