Smoky Mountain Micro Wedding – Leena and Jake

Leena and Jake – July 25, 2020

Smoky Mountain Micro Wedding

Leena and Jake decided to brave the potential thunderstorms for their Smoky Mountain micro wedding and lucked out with some GORGEOUS weather. They steamed up the day with their chemistry and style. She brought some adorable mis-matched chairs for additional seating, and they brought some charm to the chapel. They did their first look at the beginning of the hour with the wedding at the very end so they could have a little time together before the ceremony, and I’m so glad–that lighting was fantastic! Congratulations Leena and Jake!!

From the Bride and Groom:

How did we meet? Jake moved to Indianapolis for a job and within the same week Leena began her college internship at the same place! The first time we ever hung out was at a Dave Matthews concert but we were too shy to really interact much, lol.

We joke that Leena didn’t know they were dating. We spend a week going for bike rides around Indy, Leena wanted to show Jake around the city since he was new in the area. And then one night he picked her up for dinner and it clicked that it was a date! We went to a nice waterside restaurant in Broad Ripple.

Jake proposed in Newfoundland at the top of a mountain in the dead of winter, February 2019.

We decided on East Tennessee for our wedding because we love Tennessee and the mountains. We had decided we wanted to get married there before we were ever engaged. We wanted something close family could travel to but also a truly beautiful getaway.

We were most looking forward to the intimate ceremony in the woods. It’s our second wedding date so no significance to why but it does end up falling near our original anniversary which is July 18 (that’s the first day we ever hung out together). So right before our wedding we will have our 5 year anniversary. We love to travel. We are hard workers and own and operate a business together so we do not ever spend much time apart, and we like it that way.
