Smoky Mountain Handfasting – Eryn and Krystal

Eryn and Krystal – October 21, 2021

Smoky Mountain Handfasting

As much as I enjoy all of our weddings, I was most excited about the third one of the day — because wolves!! LOL We had two beautiful brides join us with their friends and family for a Smoky Mountain Handfasting. They dressed the chapel in champagne and black with our moody florals. Mostly, we used the rest of the property for their big day to get lots of naturey shots. They and their guests were dressed to impress in all sorts of fun attire. Eryn and Krystal had a viking inspired look, and they brought in Wildefell Wolves with two of their gorgeous wolfy gentlemen and an owl! It was epic!!

From Eryn:

Krystal and I met unexpectedly while in Knoxville. The first date had so much laughter! Krystal and I hit it off straight away. It was such an overwhelming feeling of familiarity and comfort with her. Honestly, it was the best night out either of us had in quite some time. I think I can speak for both of us when I say we knew then and there that our lives were about to change.

Krystal beat me to the proposal! (to preface, I am a BIG Harry Potter fan) Little did I know, she had spent months sneaking behind me preparing for a HP themed proposal photoshoot. She came to pick me up from work one night to “go out for drinks”. It was when we pulled up to a hotel that some confusion started to sink in for me. As we walked up to the room, I was handed a photo album in which the very last photo was of her holding Half-Blood Prince (which just so happened to be my favorite in the series) to the chapter titled “The Unbreakable Vow”. There was a heart cut out from the pages with the ring inside it. I was just speechless.

East Tennessee was an easy decision for our wedding. Both of our families live in the area, as do most our friends. I’m most looking forward to the ceremony of course! But also just being able to share a moment like this with so many people we know and love, I just cant wait. We are just a couple of nerds really. We can find joy in just about anything we come across.
