Simple Family Elopement

You may remember Bri and John from our military/first responder giveaway some time back. They are both nurses who were in the thick of things during covid. They joined us today for a simple family elopement with just a few of their dearest. They dressed the chapel in white and navy with our ombre pink florals. She found her gorgeous dress only five days ago! They were so cute together!! Congratulations, Bri and John!!

From the Bride:

We are both nurses and worked together for quite awhile, never really knowing much of anything about each other. It wasn’t until much later that our paths to crossed & we began to spend time together and learn more about each other. We’ve been inseparable ever since.

The first date was very much laid back and never felt like a first date. We’re both lovers of Mexican food and ice-cream, so our first date was just that, followed by a movie at home. John proposed to me December 22, 2020. I had gotten off work and we had met for dinner. We had plans on going to my parents house after I was able to come home and shower and change clothes. Once we got ready to leave home, we walked out the door and and I turned around from locking the door, he was down on one knee on the front porch. It was just like us, a very simple, yet intimate moment. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

We were actually blessed enough to have won the wedding package giveaway that was going on for anyone who worked in a job that was affected by COVID19. With both of us being nurses, we seen the damage that COVID19 had done to healthcare, the patients, the families and even our coworkers. This was such a blessing to John & I & our families due to the fact wedding planning had been put on the backburner due to jobs, schooling and taking care of John’s two daughters.

We are looking forward to being with the people that matters to us most and finally making this official!

We love being able to have the day off together to spend with John’s daughters. With the way we both work and their schedules, our time with them is never enough.
