Christy and Willie – July 11, 2020
Pigeon Forge Wedding Venues
When they were researching Pigeon Forge wedding venues, Christy stumbled on our little spot, and we are so glad they chose us! Christy and Willie brought their besties and their families here to celebrate their love for our second wedding on July 11th. These middle school sweethearts found each other again later in life and are merging two adorable families into one extra awesome one! They used some bold yellows and blues that really pop in their pictures. Congratulations Willie and Christy!!
From the Bride:
We first met in Elementary school as friends of friends. In middle school we decided to date and did so for 2 years. Willie then moved away to help take care of his grandparents with his family. Life went on after high school we both got married and had children. Then in 2017 we reconnect as friends both going through divorce. And it was as if nothing had change we were still best friends and still in love with each other. Even with the amount of time that had past. We were both each of our first loves. Fast forward to 2018 and so much in love. We are now a big family. I have 2 kids (Riley 9 and Hayden 4) and Willie has 3 kids (Xander 8, Zackary 6, and Chelsea 4).
Our first date was a road trip. We haven’t seen each other in person in over 18 years. We met up and drove up the mountains. The first hour was quiet, but after that it was like nothing had changed.
Willie proposed. He planned it all out and included my best friend. We met at my friend’s house and she did my hair and make up. We then decided to drive up the mountains like our first date. We went to Pretty Place and it was snowing and so beautiful. He started to tell me how much he loved me and always has and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
We chose East Tennessee because it is my happy place. Any chance we get we are there. Our kids love it as much as we do. Its just so beautiful and peaceful.
We do alot of things for fun. We both love music and enjoy going to concerts. We love visiting Tennessee when ever we can and going to Dollywood. We collect coffee cups. We make sure anytime we go to a new place that we get one for our coffee bar in our kitchen. We don’t really have a typical date night. With 5 kids it’s hard to find a babysitter. We might get a date once a month if that. Sometimes its every 2 months. But we like going out for dinner. Our favorite date nights are when we stay in. I love to cook. So I’ll cook dinner and we will watch movies.
