Pigeon Forge Elopements – Makayla and Dylan

Makayla and Dylan – September 14, 2020

Pigeon Forge Elopements

Do you want to get away–just the two of you?? Then, Pigeon Forge elopements might be something for you to look into. Makayla and Dylan joined us on September 14th for their elopement. They took some time out of their busy schedules as a nurse and paramedic (as well as full time parents) to sneak away to the Smokies. She brought a picture of her grandmother to tie around the bouquet as a way to keep her close and had a sixpence in her shoe for good luck. How fierce does she look in this first picture?!

Congratulations, Makayla and Dylan!!

From the Bride:

We met at work. I am an Emergency Room Nurse and he is a Paramedic. We had mutual friends and knew each other prior to really meeting, but had never really been around each other. We started talking more and more until he eventually asked me out!

Our first date was very casual. We went to a local bar and listened to AWFUL karaoke! We still joke about how horrible it was.

He proposed in July of 2019. We had just moved into our house together. A couple days before my birthday just a week or so later, he surprised me with a ring. He said that he just couldn’t wait until my birthday!

East Tennessee is our home. We wanted something more than just a courthouse and wanted somewhere special for just the two of us. This venue is exactly what we wanted!

He has already been married, but I have not. I have never really been interested in a traditional big wedding. We both wanted something small, but special. We are looking forward to just having the two of us there so that it’s sentimental and not chaotic with too many people.

Our schedules are hectic. I work 12-hour night shift and he works 24-hour shifts. We just enjoy getting the chance to spend time together with our kids. A date night doesn’t happen often, but when it does we like to be able to go out to eat with no kids! We have a 5-month old and almost 7-year old so we stay pretty busy.
