Markita and Owen chose Chapel in the Hollow for their sweet outdoor wedding in the Smoky Mountains, and it was such a beautiful celebration of love!
They dressed the chapel in classic hunter green and white fabric—clean, elegant, and timeless—with no florals needed.
Markita looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder white dress with romantic frills and delicate ribbons, paired perfectly with a Spanish-style veil that added just the right touch of drama. Her mom helped pin it in place, and her dad walked her down the aisle as cicadas sang in the trees.
Owen looked sharp in black dress pants, a black shirt, and a forest green tie—complementing the chapel décor perfectly. They exchanged matching bands of beaten metal, simple and strong, just like their love.
After the“I dos,” we took family photos before heading off to some of our favorite photo spots—the rock garden, the highland area, and the gate cliff—for some moody, woodsy couple portraits. The weather was hot and muggy(thank you, Southern summer!) but the rain held off just for them.

From the Bride
We met in middle school,but became best friends our senior year of high school. On our first date we went for a hike and just chatted.
He proposed in the exact spot where he confessed his feelings to me for the first time. We are both from East Tennessee so we knew it was the perfect place for our outdoor wedding in the Smoky Mountains. On our wedding day we look forward to saying “I do!”. We picked this date because it’s our seven year anniversary and it rolls off the tongue.
We usually just spend time with our pets,we enjoy badminton ,and just hanging out.
