November Destination Elopement- Jennifer and Greg

Jennifer and Greg – November 23, 2021

November Destination Elopement

Jennifer and Greg joined us for a gorgeous November destination elopement today. They were SO cute together!! They chose to have their ceremony on the forest path instead of at the chapel because they love being in nature. After the ceremony, we made our way around to some of the more naturey spots on property, and they had such great chemistry that they made our photo spots look extra fab. Congratulations, Jennifer and Greg!!
From the Bride:

We met by happenstance on Halloween 7 years ago. I was a chatty Minnie Mouse and he was in the right place at the right time. Maybe it was his dad, Monte, that had his hand in encouraging fate to bring us together. Greg was only visiting Chattanooga at that time to see his dad in his last days of life. We ended up having so many strange and fun connections. His dad and I share the same birthday March 12. Greg’s daughter’s name is Molly and my dog’s name was Molly. Greg’s brother-in-law was my first boss and dear friend. Our first date was Brunch and Beers…one of our favorites still to this day. We stayed so long that I thought the restaurant would ask us to leave.

Sometimes things feel like they happen for a reason and that is how I feel about October 31, 2014.

Greg proposed, and it’s a BORING story…he’s still in big trouble for that. But to hear him tell the story, he was so excited and nervous to ask me and give me the ring that he couldn’t wait to plan an elaborate scheme. I’ll take that. We’ve enjoyed some great times together hiking and exploring the Smoky Mountain area. Being in nature makes me feel alive and happy so your Chapel seemed like a perfect location to marry the man I love.

I think I’m looking forward to Commitment. We’ve been in a long distance relationship for 7 years (Charlotte/Chattanooga) and now we are finally living in the same town, in the same sweet cabin home (that was his mom and dads) and will commit our lives to each other. That’s what I call a good day.

Haha…well the original plan was for Oct 31 on our meeting “anniversary” but life got busy and let’s just say planning didn’t get busy. Let’s just go with there being something significant to us for choosing the “fall”. 🙂

Sadee Mae is our sweet 18 month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy and we just love her to death. She keeps us on the move with her puppy energy so we love hiking and swimming with her. We also love fixing up the “farm” which is a little cabin on 13 acres on Lookout Mtn. Now that we are living there full time, it’s been fun to have family over for outdoor movie nights and dinners out by the pool that Greg made me remodel with him (he likes fix-it projects WAY more than I do!). I am really close to my mom and her best friend so Greg is a good sport about $5 buy-in poker and dominos night and his future mother-in-law loves to feed him his favorite meals. Life is good!
