No Stress Wedding
Rachel and Troy joined us for a no stress wedding this morning before the thunderstorms. They were the first to use our new sunflower florals on the chapel, and she created a coordinating bouquet. Her dress was super cute!! We loved the off the shoulder look with that fantastic train. These two were the sweetest!! It started getting really moody there toward the end, and these two rocked it all through the rain. Congratulations, Rachel and Troy!
From the Bride:
I was a nurse in a rehab facility. His mom was a pt in the next hall. Troy would come in multiple times a day and walk his mom around the facility, always stopping to chat with me daily. When it came time for his mom to be discharged I gave him my number to keep in touch . He called a few wks after and we had our first date a month after that !! We have been together ever since. That was six years ago. For the first date, we decided on a sushi restaurant. We talked the entire time.
Troy asked my dad for permission to marry me. Then we went to pick out rings together. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together.
We LOVE coming down from Michigan and renting a secluded cabin just to get a break from daily lives. We come every year on my birthday in Sept. In May of this year we came down for a short get away and started talking about getting married ….after being engaged for three years. I started looking around in Michigan for places to elope. Not happy with any place. So we started looking down here and the chapel in the hollow popped up in my searches and I thought that is the place!!
We wanted it to be just the two of us. No stress wedding. But yet we wanted a ceremony.I would say the thing we are most looking forward to is just us together.
We love to be outdoors. We hunt together, garden together and spend a quiet evening after stressful days at work just sitting outside on our porch talking . We cook, bake and can jelly and veggies together . We really are best friends . We also enjoy time with our grandkids…I have six and he has three.
