Morning Micro Wedding in the Woods

Melissa and Eric joined us for a morning micro wedding in the woods. They dressed the chapel in white with our white florals. She looked lovely in her elegant spaghetti sleeve dress, and his mouth dropped when he saw her in it. They brought their furbaby with them to include her in the festivities. Congratulations, Eric and Melissa!

From the Bride:

We initially first met through the running community back in 2013. Eric was coaching the 10K training program at our local Fleet Feet, and I was a participant at the time. We didn’t begin dating, though, until 2017. For our first date, we went to a local pub and talked all night. Eric proposed late one night in Fairbanks, Alaska in March while we were out looking for the Northern Lights. Earlier that day, Eric and our friend had made a path in the deep snow out from our cabin, and dug a hole in the snow to have a nice viewing spot for the Northern Lights. Later that night, Eric and I went out to the viewing spot awaiting the arrival of the Northern Lights. After we had been out there a few minutes, Eric dropped to one knee and proposed, and I was completely surprised! The Northern Lights appeared and it was the perfect night! We decided on an East Tennessee micro wedding because, we both love the mountains and visiting the Smokies. Additionally, it was important for my retired pastor who now resides in Maryville, TN to marry us. I have known he and his wife since I was 6 years old and they are like second parents to me. We are looking forward to spending the weekend with our families who will be coming in from across the country to celebrate with us. We both love the outdoors and running long distances. We also love to travel and explore the country in our little camper.
