Surprise Vow Renewal

Halye and Michael joined us for a surprise vow renewal! He wanted to treat her to something special so he has spent months planning everything to come together for one special day to celebrate 10 years of marriage. He chose white and lavender fabric paired with our blue and yellow florals and lavender wreaths. He brought butterflies to be released during their kiss, and he hired a musician to play a special song for them during their exit. So sweet!! Congratulations, Michael and Halye!

From the Michael:

Knew each other in High School but didn’t date. Crossed paths way later in life at the hospital where I was visiting a friend. Again we didn’t get together. Her best friend was looking to hook her up with someone good. She declined to begin with but we are now celebrating 10 years of marriage. Our first date was the best ever. Not sure if you have found the one that you are supposed to spend the rest of your life with or not. If you have then you know that on the first date, nothing could go wrong because you didn’t care about nothing but pleasing her. Our first date was the best day of my life because I completed my journey in finding my true love. The original proposal was not good. She knew I had the ring and I didn’t have a plan. So I asked her to stand up on Easter morning as we were watching Joel Olsteen. This is the very reason that I am have this surprise vow renewal on our 10 years anniversary. I searched for months looking for somewhere beautiful to propose. I found the Grotto Falls and that led me to search a magical venue. I found Chapel in the Hollow and from there I pieced everything together. I just want her to have the proposal she deserved from the beginning that I couldn’t give her then. We love each others company just to be honest. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and I am getting my Associate’s degree in Cyber Security. We both work full time and have 3 kids aging from 13 years old to 19 months. I also own a landscaping business. We are very involved in our local church and time available is very limited for us. Dates are far and few in between but we make time for each other as much as we can.
