Midday October Wedding – Grace and John

Midday October Wedding

Grace and John – October 18, 2024

Grace and John’s midday October wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a beautiful celebration nestled within the tranquility of the forest.  They chose elegant hunter green and white decor, beautifully complemented by our white succulent florals and the romantic glow from our lantern package, creating a serene and inviting ambiance for their special day.
Grace looked absolutely stunning in a cap sleeve illusion top dress adorned with a long, flowing train, capturing the forest’s ethereal beauty.  John was the epitome of classic elegance in a sharp black tux, perfectly matching the day’s refined theme.
The ceremony was filled with unique and heartfelt touches, including a fun twist with a flower guy who joyfully tossed petals down the aisle, adding a playful element to their forest wedding. Grace’s bonus mom played a special role in helping her prepare for the day, while her uncle had the honor of walking her down the aisle, adding a personal family connection to their ceremony.
Their vows were deeply personal, and both Grace and John got choked up as they pledged their lo o      ur wedding was not just a union of hearts but a celebration of family, love, and the enchanting forest setting. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness and memorable moments together!
From the Bride
John and I met when we were fifteen after a rival football game. (My school vs his) One of my close friends at the time said she was going to a get together at his house after, I tagged along and the rest is history. Our first “date” his great grandmother was in the hospital (she was his guardian) so he brought me to meet her and she gave us 20 bucks to get Zaxbys. The first legitimate date was to go see some comedy in theater. It was the first time I ever truly heard his laugh, he was almost in tears over it.
John proposed about 3 months in when we were kids. But I told him he’d have to wait til I graduated college, then I would marry him. Our “recent” proposal was really informal, I picked out the ring and we had pictures made. We decided to get married in East Tennessee because we love the mountains. Tennessee isn’t too far of a drive for our guests either. On our wedding day I am looking forward to finally marrying the love of my life. Everything else is just extra. We decided to get married on this date because it is our 11 year dating anniversary and coincidentally his great grandmother and great grandfathers wedding anniversary.
We both love outdoorsy stuff. Hiking, kayaking, swimming – even cliff jumping in the past. We build Lego sets and play games together. Our favorite thing to do together is probably eat though. Both of us are huge foodies.
