Daniel and Rachel – November 26, 2022
Midday Fall Micro Wedding
Daniel and Rachel joined us for a gorgeous midday fall micro wedding. They dressed the chapel in red and white fabric with our red florals. She looked gorgeous in her lacy dress with a lace shrug overlay, and he looked very debonair in his navy suit. They brought a cute cake, set up a charcuterie board, had their guests dance to Purple Rain, and brought in a photographer to give their guests family photos. So neat! Congratulations, Rachel and Daniel!!
From the Bride:
I met Daniel through his job. He is a mechanic, and he was the man for the job. Little did we know how things would evolve, and now we are getting married. For our first date, well, he took me for Chinese. In which I hardy touched my food. He thought it was nerves, but NOW he knows I dislike Chinese food.
Daniel proposed on November 13,2022. We were on a trip in Panama City, FL for my son’s 18th birthday. I am an over-thinker and watch way too much crime tv. He took me out on the Russell-Fields Pier at night. It was so cold and windy. There was not a lot of people on the pier. I was like Daniel what if someone comes up to us and threw us over. No one would ever know, and we would be washed out to sea. He was like seriously. Then we were walking back to our car, and he asked if I would like to walk the beach. Again, I was like NO you never know who just sitting waiting for an opportunity. By then, he was over it and said let’s go. He went to open my car door which I thought was strange. Then a guy walked up kind of close but was just passing by. Daniel said let’s go back to our hotel. We get to our hotel, and I was getting ready to get out of the car. He said wait a minute I need to ask you something. At that moment I knew what was coming. My response before he even said anything was you better not be proposing in this car! He said Rachel I have tried all afternoon to find the perfect time. On the pier, a stroll on the beach, then as he was opening my car door. And you keep on with all the worst-case scenarios you could think of. I said at least tomorrow let’s go to the beach so we can write our names in the sand and can make an announcement. Since, he did not get on one knee. So, every time we are watching TV or see someone’s engagement photos, I bring it up. To the ones who know Daniel and know how he truly does all things to make me happy. It’s a good laugh because everyone expected a proposal with all the extra things you could imagine. He still chooses to marry me, so I think we are past it. Now looking back, I absolutely love it! He is mine, and I am his until death do us part!
The scenery, serenity and intimacy played a huge part for our destination wedding in Gatlinburg. We were debating a couple of places. Vegas for just the two of us, but it’s more of a fast-paced vibe. Then in Panama where he proposed, but we got to thinking about heat and sand. Makes for a hot uncomfortable day. We ultimately decided Gatlinburg. So, our families could come and have a vacation and help us celebrate becoming one. Honestly the date (November 26)…. Was a group decision. This was the most convenient date for both families to be able to attend. A long holiday weekend to vacation in Gatlinburg then attend our wedding.
Daniel is a hardworking man who goes above and beyond to provide for his family. We honestly balance each other! Since we both stay pretty busy, our date night consists of enjoying being able to slow down, order take out, come home and just enjoy our time together. Daniel is very sporadic. He enjoys traveling. So, when he says pack your bags. I get to packing for another memory to be made!
