Micro Wedding Getaway – Mary and Lloyd

Mary and Lloyd – October 19, 2021

Micro Wedding Getaway

For our third couple of the day, Mary and Lloyd joined us for a micro wedding getaway. They showed up in a limo with some friends and family ready to have a good time. They dressed the chapel in champagne and navy with our ombre pink florals, and it was a gorgeous combination. The champagne complemented her dress beautifully. Mary is an amazingly multifaceted person – an author (with a book coming out soon), a rugby player, a breast cancer survivor. Lloyd was smitten. They played songs to each other during the ceremony, and we’d catch him singing some of the lyrics to her throughout their photo time with us. Congratulations, Mary and Lloyd!!

From the Bride:

We met at a mutual place of business, there was an instant connection…he pursued…I resisted for almost 8 months. He never gave up, and I am so happy he didn’t . I knew he was the one I wanted forever with. I just wanted to make sure he knew it as well. We actually started officially dating on 4.1.2020, it was during the pandemic. He invited me to his house, I brought a bottle of wine, we watched the movie…Something Borrowed…it was a nic evening. He invited me back a week later, he made dinner. Steak, his famous Mac and cheese, green beans, and a roll. It was very sweet…the rest is pretty much history.

It was 6.23.2021 on a Friday night. He made plans for us to see one of our favorite bands (Coconut Groove) they were playing at the Peddler Steakhouse in Spartanburg South Carolina. We arrived about 7:00p.m. listened to the band for awhile as we waited for our table. I noticed he was acting a little different, but he is an attorney and he was in the middle of a big case that had been going on about 5 years. So I thought maybe he was just happy it was friday and we were out enjoying ourselves not thinking about work. After 30 minutes or so we were seated at our table, we ordered dinner as usual, he was very sweet, lots of smiling, and hand holding. After dinner, they took our plates, and we were sitting there, and he looked at me and said “Mary do you really love me?” I said “of course I do baby, you know that…the he reached into his pocket an pulled out this absolutely beautiful ring and said…”then maybe you should marry me…I was SHOCKED to say the least. Like I said earlier he was in the middle of one of the biggest trials he has had in several years. So knowing that no matter what was happening in his life…he wanted to put US first before anything. That is true love…and of course I said YES!

We actually went to Tennessee in May of 2020. It was our first weekend get away together and I absolutely loved everything about the area. He spent many years living in Nashville and practiced law, so he is quite fond of the area. Finding The Chapel In The Hollow was an absolute blessing. It is gorgeous and we couldn’t be happier.

We are most looking forward to….
Saying I do to this amazing man – Mary

We love music, so we try to go out and watch live music as often as possible.
