Jordan and Dawson – Little Wedding in the Smoky Mountains

Little Wedding in the Smoky Mountains

Jordan and Dawson joined us for their little wedding in the Smoky Mountains. They dressed the chapel in white with our winter berry florals and set up a cute little hot chocolate bar to help keep their guests warm in the chill. They were so cute together, and that dress was deceptively simple (and oh so gorgeous)! Congratulations, Jordan and Dawson!
From the Bride:
We met in August of 2021 at a Karaoke Bar. We never even spoke that night, just kept making eye contact and giggling like school girls! Eventually him and his friends left, but one of the girls sitting next to me had gotten his friends phone number. I asked her to get his name and number for me. We ended up texting and setting a date for the following weekend. For our first date we were supposed to meet up at the mall that afternoon and spend the rest of the day together, but I ended up getting told the day before that I was going to have to work that weekend. I called him up and we set a new game plan! We met for breakfast and strolled through downtown, climbing off a bridge to walk along the creek bed. I went to work and that evening we met up at the mall. We walked around, picking out outrageous things for each other to wear before settling down to eat. After I talked him into trying sushi for the first time we went to an empty parking lot where I tried to teach him to skateboard. Then we hit up the karaoke bar that we initially saw each other in. We stayed until they shut it down!
On our one year dating anniversary we were hiking on top of Overlook mountain, it was a breathtaking hike! When we reached the top he sang me a beautiful song that he had written for me and got down and proposed. It was perfect! That night we stayed in a Yurt on the mountainside. The next day we celebrated with a hike to a beautiful waterfall, and we ended it with a relaxing horseback ride through the forest trails. I am from Mississippi and he is from Georgia. We wanted somewhere that was easy enough for both of our families to get to, so we decided on an East Tennessee wedding!
For fun, we do typical dinner dates, but our real thing is that whenever we both have a few days off we pick somewhere to drive, we set up tent or sleep in the car, and we do lots of hikes and adventures in the area before returning home days later!
