In the Smoky Mountains, Korin and Jacob’s love story took an unexpected turn as they embarked on a last minute wedding at Chapel in the Hollow. In just 10 days, they pulled together a celebration with the unwavering support of their families and friends.
The chapel was adorned in delicate blush fabric, a canvas of love that perfectly complemented the blush and marsala florals they chose. With determination and teamwork, they crafted a day that would be etched into their hearts forever.
With a little help from their moms, Korin got ready before the ceremony, a heartwarming reflection of the closeness shared within their families. She looked stunning in her sleeveless dress with a unique train, each detail speaking to her individuality and the magic of the day.
Jacob, equally hands-on, assisted Korin’s adorable kiddo in getting dressed. The first look was a moment of shared anticipation and joy, the embodiment of their newfound family bond. Dressed in matching grey suits, they radiated style and togetherness.
Easton, Korin’s sweet child, couldn’t help but express his admiration when he saw his mom in her dress. His words were a testament to the genuine connection that had formed between them, a bond that was now evolving to include their new family.
In their last-minute wedding, Korin and Jacob reminded us that love has its own timing. Their journey was a testament to the power of love, community, and the joy that can be found in even the most spontaneous of celebrations.
From the Bride:
We met through a mutual friend back in 2014 while I lived in Nebraska. Our first date was watching movies at my apartment. We immediately started talking everyday and I quickly realized Jacob was my person. We talked about him moving out there to be together. Over time, long distance just didn’t work for us.
In 2015, I moved back to Tennessee and was dating someone else. Jacob found out and every once in awhile would message me “I’ll be waiting for you.” I ended up having my son and going through a bad divorce. Once that relationship ended, Jacob was waiting. We picked up right where we left off. However, after a few months he told me it wasn’t the right time. I needed time to heal and focus on being a mom. He told me to focus on myself promised we would try this again down the road.
And we did. Our relationship has always been “right person, wrong time” until we officially began dating in September 2018. We are about to celebrate our 5 year anniversary together. I always tell him I knew he was the one in 2014.
Easton (my 7 year old son) gave me a ring pop and asked if I was ready to marry Jacob. Jacob gave me is grandmothers ring. We have both grown up in East Tennessee and knew Chapel in the Hollow was the perfect place for us.
For fun, we both love Tennessee Football, fishing, binge watching every season of survivor, and traveling. Our typical date night is a movie and eating at our favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse.
