Katelyn and Cory – October 20, 2020
Eloping in the Smoky Mountains
From the Bride:We met in high school. We aren’t however high school sweethearts, we actually reconnected a few years after we graduated. In high school Cory was a sophomore when I was a senior and we sat next to each other in french class. Cory was always the goofy flirty kid in class which was attractive and we became friends.
We kind of mutually proposed? (I tease Cory a lot for this) When our 9th anniversary rolled around we were like “so… are we ever just gonna just get married or what!?”. I know, I know, so romantic haha. The years just went by so fast and we kept busy throughout them. Fortunately, we are the best friends and time made us stronger and sure of what we wanted for ourselves. We originally planned to elope in Ireland in May earlier this year but unfortunately due to Covid it was canceled. Not wanting to postpone for another year, I began researching local places to elope. I have always wanted to visit TN and considering we originally were going to have an outdoor scenic ceremony, Chapel in the Hollow caught our attention and excited us.
Just enjoying another amazing memory between the two of us. It will be 10.5 years that we have been together once we do marry and its exciting to think of a new big chapter to begin. I also cant wait for our first looks, it was the one thing I wanted to keep as far as a tradition goes. The anticipation and surprise will make it even more intimate and exciting. We enjoy making each other laugh no matter what we are doing. We love the movies and trying new foods/restaurants. We also enjoy baseball and having game nights with friends. Our little guy that we cant take with us but wish could be there is our lil fur baby Bruno, he is our everything! We got him as a puppy 9.5 years ago now and means so much to us.
