Tymber and Blake – August 19, 2020
Elopements in the Mountains
It’s always exciting to be part of elopements in the mountains. Wait until you see the loveliness that is Tymber! This little spitfire looked gorgeous in her last minute dress, and Blake was the perfect complement to her fiery sweetness. They came in for the Jeep fun happening in Pigeon Forge — Blake and his dad both have some pretty awesome Jeeps. (I’m a little partial to his dad’s pretty purple one, but the red one is nice, too.) We, of course, had to feature Blake’s in a few of the photos. His mom gave me a hand to get the perfect dress movement, and I think you will agree that they look great! Congratulations Tymber and Blake!!
From the Bride:
Blake sent me a friend request on Facebook, so naturally I looked at his profile picture. He has a beautiful son but also a terrible unibrow. ???? I denied the request then a couple weeks pass, I get a notification on Snapchat. Well guess who it is? So I accept it, then go back to his Facebook. My lord shadows in pictures are deceiving, because this man was GORGEOUS. So I sent him a friend request back and luckily he accepted it. A couple conversations over Snapchat about music, bands, his son.. Then we finally met and here we are!
The first date wasn’t anything fancy. We cooked dinner together and watched a movie. Seems so boring to some but looking back on it now, i think it’s perfect. Kind of like it was a look into the future of what our life would be like. A year & a half later, we still do the same thing every night together.
We were talking about cleaning his grandmothers ring and I saw the box in his hand. I got excited, then disappointed when I realized he wasn’t actually asking me. He realized I was sad and decided right then and there to pop the question on our front porch. Of course, I said yes.
Blake and his family have spent so much time in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg over the last 20+ years. Blakes parents recently bought a site in Gatlinburg to keep their camper on year round, so they can come down whenever they want. It’s been such a huge part of Blake’s life and I fell in love with it my first time in the area. So we thought it would be the perfect location.
I was most looking forward to marrying the love of my life, of course! I was very excited for our vows. We’ve written our own and as nervous as we both are, I believed it would be the best part, besides the “I Do.”
