Enchanted East Tennessee Wedding Celebration
Cassidy and Darvin – October 4, 2025
When it comes to an East Tennessee wedding celebration, few places capture the magic of the Smoky Mountains like Chapel in the Hollow. Nestled in the forest near the Great Smoky Mountains, this intimate micro wedding chapel set the stage for Cassidy and Darvin’s elegant and unforgettable October “I do.”
A Dreamy Evening in the Woods
Cassidy and Darvin chose a romantic evening ceremony at Chapel in the Hollow — and their day couldn’t have been more enchanting. The couple transformed the chapel’s rustic wood backdrop with classic black and white draping, creating a timeless look that felt both dramatic and sophisticated. With a love story this powerful, no florals were needed — the simplicity let their connection shine.
The Bride and Groom’s Stunning Style
Cassidy looked absolutely radiant in a Morilee gown from The Ritz Portsmouth. The long sleeves, illusion bodice, and flowing train brought the perfect mix of fairytale and modern bridal fashion. Her elegant updo, styled by her sister Hannah Blythe, complemented the delicate details of her dress, while her chic heels added a touch of sparkle.
Darvin was her perfect match in a black suit with a purple vest — the royal hue adding personality and flair to his classic look. Together, they made a picture-perfect pair ready to celebrate their forever.
A Ceremony Filled with Family and Heart
The day was made even more meaningful with the presence of family. Cassidy’s mother and sister helped her prepare, and her sweet first look with her father brought tears to everyone’s eyes.
But the most touching moment of all? Cassidy’s grandmother, Alice Baird, officiated the ceremony — filling it with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt words that made everyone feel the love.
The couple exchanged fire opal rings — his, a bold red set in black metal, and hers, a luminous white opal in silver. The symbolism of fire and light reflected their energy as a couple — passionate, bright, and unbreakable.
An Evening of Love, Light, and Laughter
After sealing their vows with a kiss, the newlyweds celebrated with family photos at the chapel and a cozy cake-cutting moment featuring a sweet creation from Kroger. Then, as the light softened over the Smoky Mountains, photographer Star Noir Studio captured stunning couple portraits that glowed with warmth and joy.
The evening continued with photos in the field, surrounded by soft mountain light and autumn color — a perfect reflection of the couple’s calm, genuine love story.
From the Bride
We met because his sister was my best friend. We went to a tractor pull at the county fair for our first date. Darvin proposed at a Christmas lights display the display was a present and we were inside.
We chose East Tennessee for our wedding because we wanted to have a small wedding with our immediate family and the mountains are beautiful. On our wedding day we are looking forward to both families being together for the first time!We love to go to concerts and have fun!
