DIY Micro Wedding
Brittany and Matt – October 20, 2023
Brittany and Matt brought their love and creativity to Chapel in the Hollow for a heartwarming DIY micro wedding. The chapel was adorned in simplicity, dressed in delicate cream fabric, allowing the natural beauty of the surroundings to shine. But here’s where the magic truly unfolded. Brittany poured her heart and creativity into crafting stunning pink and white florals that graced the chapel.
They added a personal touch by bringing in white lanterns and charming floral pumpkins to decorate the steps, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. And Brittany’s wedding attire? She looked absolutely stunning in her Azazie illusion back dress, complete with a short train. Can you believe she found it for only $160? Her elegant updo perfectly complemented her wedding day look. Matt was equally dapper in a navy suit, creating a wonderful harmony with Brittany’s grace and charm.
Adding a heartfelt touch to the ceremony, Brittany’s aunt officiated the wedding, making it all the more special and personal. Hailing from Alabama, this lovely couple was eager to capture beautiful moments in photographs that they’ll cherish forever.
As a delightful surprise, Matt shared a new joke with us, adding a touch of humor to this special day. We love creating these unique and memorable moments with our couples!
It was a beautiful outdoor fall wedding here in Tennessee, and we’re so thrilled to have been part of Brittany and Matt’s love story. Congratulations to this wonderful couple!
From the Bride:
Matt and I met through social media. I was born and raised in Mobile and Matt took a job at the University of South Alabama and had been in Mobile for about 6 months when we met. We met at Starbucks for coffee (Matt isn’t a huge coffee drinker) and the rest is history. We met at Starbucks for coffee, but due to COVID only the drive through was open so we sat. My car and talked. We talk about this moment all the time.
Matt works at the university as their athletic field manager so he is always at the school during baseball games. Going to the baseball games became a routine for me and my daughter. He had my best friend bring me to the baseball field and he was standing on the pitchers mound with a letter sign and balloons of course all in pink.
We wanted a small intimate ceremony and some place easy for others to travel. I live close to the beach so we decided on the mountains. The photos on Chapel in the Hollow is what won us over. We are so excited for the moments and memories to be captured.
We love the outdoors and DIY projects. We love Auburn Football (Matt played football for Auburn). We love nights at home with our fur babies and McKenzie (my 15yr daughter). Her and Matt are two peas in a pod and have a fantastic relationship.
