Country Winter Wedding – Monica and Cody

Country Winter Wedding

Monica and Cody – November 26, 2023

Monica and Cody brought a touch of heartwarming charm to Chapel in the Hollow for their country winter wedding!
The chapel was adorned in a cozy palette of sand fabric, complemented by the soft hues of blush and marsala florals. Monica stole the show in an elegant off-the-shoulder dress with a sweet mid-length train and veil, while Cody looked dapper in a stylish navy suit.
Before the ceremony, Cody gifted thoughtful presents to three of Monica’s children, creating a beautiful moment of family bonding. The love extended to all five of her children, who played a special role in the heartwarming ceremony. Monica’s second-youngest walked her down the aisle, adding a truly sentimental touch.
Family connections didn’t stop there! Monica’s daughter showcased her talent by doing her hair and makeup, adding a personal and loving touch to the bride’s look.
And let’s talk about the sweet treats! A cute little cake and personalized cookies adorned the celebration, adding a delightful and personal touch. To make things even more special, one of Monica’s talented children took the artistic lead and drew the wedding invitations.
Monica and Cody’s wedding was a perfect blend of love, family, and personalized touches, creating a day filled with warmth and cherished memories. Cheers to this beautiful couple!

From the Bride and Groom:

They have known each other for years. Grew up in same small town. Cody spotted Monica at a local high school football game and decided to text her. Their first date was simple. Cody picked Monica up at her house and went to a small steakhouse called Bama Bucks. She had shrimp and grits, he had a steak. Then Cody dropped her off at 8:23 pm (which is an ongoing joke from family and friends about how he “must’ve just taken you to a drive thru.” Cody proposed during a family photograph session. During the last photo, he got down on his knee and proposed.

They decided on an East Tennessee wedding because they love the scenery and Pigeon Forge is close to their home. Cody and Monica are looking forward to family time, Monica’s kids have a countdown going to the wedding. They are excited for Cody to join the family. They chose the date (11/26) because its their one year anniversary!

Monica says they raise kids for fun! LOL! They are always on the go with the kids. When they have the time, they love to cook together and go to baseball games!
