Merry Jo and Aaron – September 22, 2020
Country Micro Wedding
Merry Jo and Aaron brought their families to us from West Virginia to celebrate their country micro wedding. This beauty is a nurse, and they are trying to build a house together. We enjoyed getting to spend time with them and their families. Congratulations, Merry Jo and Aaron!!
From the Bride:
Shockingly, Aaron and I grew up in the same SMALL town (population 300…ish) and about 2 miles away from each other. We both graduated from the same K-12 school and graduated from the same college, however, I am 7 years older than Aaron and we just simply did not meet. He and I both knew of each other and each other’s families, but again, never officially met until July 18th, 2019. We had always been Facebook friends, but never made any sort of conversation until after our small town of Harman flooded on June 30th, 2019. He messaged me on Facebook June 15th, 2019 asking how I was, and if my family had been affected by the flood…we hit it off immediately. We met officially on July 18th, 2019 after we both got off work. He drove me to the top of high mountain in our small town where we sat and chatted and gazed at the beautiful sky.
There was no official proposal. We both knew we wanted to marry each other and talked about it soon after we began dating. When you know you know! We took at spontaneous trip to Gatlinburg in December 2019 and had a wonderful time. We both felt a connection with the area and when we decided to elope we wanted it to be at a place that meant something to both of us.
We are currently in the middle of building a log home on high mountain (where our first date occurred). As long as we are together we are happy and laughing, but most of our free time is spent working on creating our future home. We love shooting guns, hunting, hiking, camping, going to concerts, and spending time with family (when we have time). Most of our dates include eating Mexican food and taking road trips to Spruce Knob.
