Michael and Marsha’s cloudy elopement at Chapel in the Hollow was a picture-perfect celebration, even as the skys darkened to add a touch of drama to their special day. The chapel was elegantly dressed in white and navy fabrics, beautifully enhanced by our ombre pink florals, creating a romantic and serene backdrop for their vows.
Marsha looked stunning in a spaghetti strap dress featuring a nude underlayer and a delicate white overlay, which she paired with stylish nude chunky shoes. Michael complemented her look perfectly in a sharp navy suit accented with a pink tie, tying their color theme together wonderfully.
They brought depth and sincerity to their vows, which they wrote themselves, making the ceremony deeply personal and touching. They also brought along a cute little elopement sign, adding a fun and whimsical element to their photos.
The session included some fantastic shots at the chapel’s archway, now adorned with new stained glass details, and in the field against the backdrop of the cloudy mountain views, capturing the essence of their July summer wedding in East Tennessee. The cloudy skies provided a majestic and soft natural light, perfect for capturing the love and joy of their elopement.
Congratulations, Michael and Marsha! Your wedding was not just a celebration of your union but a beautiful testament to your journey together. Here’s to many more years of happiness and love.
From the Groom
We’ve known each other for at least 10 years. I have always had a little crush on her but never had the chance to pursue her. In 2023, I had the chance to ask her out on a date. The date was amazing and I have been crazy about her since that day. Very relaxed! We rode around, listened to music and just talked! This was the night of our first kiss! We are a happily ever after couple. I (Michael) proposed at a famous for our area lover’s bridge. We went to this bridge on one of our first few dates. We had went back later and put our lock on the bridge. When it came time for me to propose, I wanted to propose at the bridge. We went out and had dinner and went to the bridge to find our lock. We couldn’t find it and I was worried I was running out of time. I was a bundle of nerves but I finally got down on one knee and asked my beautiful lady to marry me. I’m so thankful that she said YES. We decided to get married in East Tennessee because we love Townsend and the surrounding area away from all of the crowds. On our wedding day I am looking forward to it just being the two us and having a relaxing wedding day. We love spending time with each other. This includes going to antique shops, drinking cold brews from Dunkin’ and spending time with family and our dog, Specs.
