Midday Micro Wedding – Payton and Wyatt

Midday Micro Wedding

Payton and Wyatt – July 18, 2024

Payton and Wyatt’s midday micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a picturesque celebration nestled in the woods. They elegantly dressed the chapel in cream fabric, beautifully complemented by our new white and succulent florals. The couple added a personal touch by decorating the steps with cute vases of succulents, enhancing the rustic charm of their woodland setting.
Payton looked radiant in a strapless dress featuring a short train, paired with a medium-length soft veil that flowed gracefully in the gentle breeze. Her mom and sister were by her side, helping her decorate and get ready for the big day, making every moment more special.
Wyatt looked sharp in a grey suit as he awaited his bride. Their three daughters, dressed as flower girls, added an extra dose of cuteness and joy to the ceremony. Payton’s dad had the honor of walking her down the aisle, a heartfelt tradition that brought smiles and a few tears to the gathering.
During the ceremony, Wyatt surprised Payton with a new wedding set, a beautiful and unexpected gesture that highlighted the deep love and thoughtfulness between them. Payton’s beautifully rounded tummy announced the soon-to-arrive fourth member of their family, as they joyously anticipate the arrival of another “K” named addition.
The day was filled with love, laughter, and family, capturing the essence of what makes a wedding truly memorable. Congratulations, Payton and Wyatt! May your growing family bring even more happiness and love into your lives.
From the Bride:
Wyatt and I both met right after we both went through some pretty tough breakups. Neither of us were really looking for anything quite yet, just wanted to go out with friends and have fun. I actually ended up going to a party with one of Wyatt’s friends and we met Wyatt and a few others at the party. Wyatt had helped a friend move a couple days prior and had a “baby on board)” sticker in his car and joked that he left his baby at home with his baby mama(unknown to me it was actually his friends that he helped move and he indeed did not have a baby or baby mama). All that to say I pretty much wrote him off for that comment and didn’t really say much to him. A couple days had passed and he reached out to me. I was a bit hostile because I “thought” he was being so rude talking to me while just having a baby and his baby mama being at home. He was so confused and eventually realized what the issue was and cleared everything up. We both had a good laugh and have been inseparable since then!
Our first date was to a Wit Lowry concert at the Egyptian Room. We had a blast!
Wyatt proposed… but it did not go quite as planned. We had a 6 month old daughter at the time and Wyatt had a onesie made that read “will you marry my daddy?”. We actually were at Olive Garden celebrating Wyatt for graduating from his Surgical Tech Program. Our daughter needed a diaper change and Wyatt took her to the bathroom to change her. When he came back he said it was a blowout and that he had to change her whole outfit(changed her into the onesie). I did not think twice and grabbed her and set her in my lap and just continued dinner. We finished dinner, Wyatt grabbed her and put her in her car seat, and we left. As we got to the car he asked me to fix her seat straps and when I did I saw her onesie. I turned around and Wyatt was on his knee. I was so shocked because it clicked she had been wearing the onesie a whole 30ish minutes and I had no clue, making him propose in the back of the Olive Garden parking lot! Nonetheless, we get a good laugh out of it now and love to share the story!
We chose East Tennessee for our midday micro wedding because it has been our favorite vacation spot as a couple. I’ve waited 5 years to marry him and I can’t wait to get the butterflies when I see him!
Wyatt is an avid bobble head collector. Fun for us is treasure hunting at flea markets!
