Boho October Wedding – Jaime and Ryan

Jaime and Ryan – October 22, 2022

Boho October Wedding

Jaime and Ryan joined us for a boho October wedding. They dressed the chapel in sand and white, and she brought some boho wreaths and copper touches to decorate. Her daughters helped her get ready, and she looked amazing with the illusion sleeves and headdress. Congratulations, Jaime and Ryan!!
From the Bride:
We connected on an online dating app. Yes, I know…cliche right? Ryan almost scared me off, as for our first date, he invited me to his “dungeon?” I almost blocked him right then, but something told me to hang in there past his sarcasm. I was terrified and only agreed to meet him in a restaurant that I knew people from. For our first date, we met at a restaurant in between our two cities since we lived an hour away. I waited in the car to see what he looked like and to make sure he didn’t look like a serial killer. When I watched him walk by, I just knew there was something about him. I felt calm. We immediately hit it off. Dinner was followed by the movie theater. I picked a psychological thriller, and he was bored with it but enthralled with me! He will tell you that I made all the first moves. But whatever happened kept his attention and a couple of days later Ryan called me and asked me if I’d delete my dating app and make it an “official” relationship because he had found someone who was worth keeping around! Now, Ryan will just tell you he ordered me out of a catalog with no return policy. I’ll let you believe whoever you choose!
Ryan proposed to me above the US/Canadian Border in a chartered biplane. I was in shock. I don’t remember what he said unfortunately, my mind froze. He says he rehearsed the proposal over and over, just for me to miss every single word! What I do remember is feeling complete peace, safety, and love. Now Ryan, see he’ll tell you he proposed to me in a biplane, so if I said no, he could have the pilot tip it so I’d fall out. Again, I’ll let you believe whichever version you choose.
We love outdoors and everything that the Smoky Mountains represent. The area is one of our favorite to visit. I always knew I wanted the wedding during fall colors, so to be able to experience that in the Great Smoky Mountains seemed like the perfect fit! We visited in 2020 to pick out our venue and from the minute we stepped onto the property at Chapel in the Hollow, we knew it was so “us!” Woodsy, secluded, rustic, and intimate! We are looking forward to be in the moment with each other, create a lasting memory, and to have fun! I let Ryan pick the date as long as it was in the Fall. He chose 10/22. Why you ask? 10/22 is a great rifle and therefore a date he will not forget!! Hahaha!
For fun, you will find us in the warmer months out on the Harley (aka scooter) taking in scenic routes and looking for good eats! When it is cold, we hibernate and binge watch series together in the off season. We also like to go to some car shows and I’ll drag him to antique stores occasionally. Date nights are usually Friday nights and we take turns picking restaurants for dinner.
