Smoky Mountain Adventure Elopement Package
Get Married in the Woods. Then Run Away to the Mountains.
Can’t decide between an intimate chapel wedding and an adventurous Smoky Mountain elopement?
Good news.
You don’t have to.
Our Adventure Wedding Package at Chapel in the Hollow combines a romantic ceremony at our little chapel in the woods with an adventure into the Smoky Mountains for gorgeous couple portraits along the Foothills Parkway.
You can have your family and friends there to watch you say “I do.” You can have the flowers, cake, champagne, family photos, and all those sweet little wedding moments.
And then?
You get to ditch everybody.
We’ll whisk the two of you away for your own little adventure in the mountains while your guests head off to enjoy Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, dinner, their cabin—or whatever else you’ve planned for them.
It’s part intimate wedding, part Smoky Mountain adventure, and a whole lot easier than trying to coordinate all of those moving pieces yourself.
Welcome to your Smoky Mountain Adventure Wedding.

What Is a Smoky Mountain Adventure Wedding?
Our Adventure Wedding was created for couples who want more than a quick ceremony but don’t necessarily want the stress of putting together a traditional destination wedding.
Instead of booking a venue, finding an officiant, hiring a photographer, coordinating the wedding day, figuring out where to take mountain photos, buying a cake, bringing champagne, and somehow getting yourselves from Point A to Point B without losing a newlywed somewhere along the Foothills Parkway…
We’ve bundled the major pieces together.
Your Adventure Wedding includes your chapel ceremony, officiating, professional photography, event management, cake, champagne, keepsake canvas, and a couple-only photography adventure to the Foothills Parkway.
Basically, you bring the marriage license and the people.
We’ll handle a whole lot of the rest.

Start Your Wedding at Chapel in the Hollow
Your Adventure Wedding begins at Chapel in the Hollow, our intimate outdoor wedding venue tucked into the East Tennessee woods near Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville.
Before your wedding day, we’ll gather the information we need to prepare your chapel setup and ceremony.
Unlike our shorter Make It Legal and Petite Wedding options, Adventure Weddings include our 30-minute grace period before your booked wedding time.
That gives you some breathing room.
You can use this time for things like finishing getting ready, placing approved personal details, preparing for your ceremony, and allowing our team to get everyone where they need to be.
Your chapel will already be dressed using the included Chapel in the Hollow accessories you’ve selected, so you aren’t arriving to a blank building and spending your wedding day decorating it.
Because nobody dreams about getting married while simultaneously wondering where somebody put the zip ties.
Choose the Chapel Look That Feels Like You
One of the big differences between our Adventure Wedding and our shorter wedding packages is customization.
You’re not limited to the preset cream-and-white setup of our Petite Wedding.
Adventure couples have access to our included chapel accessory collection, allowing you to select from available fabrics, florals, and other included elements to create a look that better fits your wedding.
Want something soft and romantic?
Perfect.
Want earthy and boho?
Go for it.
Want something moodier?
We know a thing or two about that.
You can also choose from available add-on accessory packages for an additional fee if you’d like to take the chapel design a little further.

Your Officiant Is Included
One less person for you to find.
Your professional wedding officiant is included with the Adventure Wedding Package.
Before your wedding, we’ll collect the information necessary to prepare your ceremony and help make sure everything is ready when you arrive.
You are responsible for obtaining your valid Tennessee marriage license and bringing it with you on the wedding day.
Then we’ll take care of the getting-married part.
Which is rather important.
[HOW TO GET YOUR TENNESSEE MARRIAGE LICENSE]
Event Management Is Included, Too
Even small weddings have moving parts.
Someone needs to know when the ceremony starts.
Someone needs to line everyone up.
Someone needs to make sure Dad knows where he’s supposed to stand instead of wandering around talking to your uncle.
Someone needs to keep an eye on the timeline while you’re busy doing something considerably more important—getting married.
That’s why Adventure Weddings include event management.
Your event manager helps keep the experience moving smoothly, assists with the ceremony flow, and helps coordinate the different pieces of your wedding day.
You shouldn’t have to spend your ceremony checking the time.
We’ve got it.
Professional Wedding Photography Is Included
Photography is one of the biggest reasons we created the Adventure Wedding in the first place.
Your professional wedding photography is included in the package.
We’ll capture the story of your wedding from the intimate moments around the chapel to those big, sweeping Smoky Mountain portraits afterward.
Depending on your timeline, this can include moments such as:
- Wedding details
- Final getting-ready moments
- A first look
- Your ceremony
- The first kiss
- Family portraits
- Wedding-party photographs
- Couple portraits around the chapel
- Cake cutting
- Champagne
- Candid just-married moments
- Couple portraits in the Smoky Mountains
And then comes the fun part.
Your Foothills Parkway Wedding Adventure
After we’ve finished the chapel portion of your wedding, it’s time to head for the mountains.
The Foothills Parkway photography adventure is for the newly married couple only.
Your guests don’t need to follow us.
You don’t need to coordinate vehicles.
And you don’t need to worry about finding the photography locations yourself.
We’ll drive the two of you to the Foothills Parkway and bring you back afterward.
That gives you a chance to decompress after the ceremony and spend a little time together as newlyweds.
And then we get to play.
We’ll use the mountain scenery to create a completely different look from your forest chapel photographs—giving you both the intimate woodland wedding and the expansive Smoky Mountain views.
Think:
Mountain overlooks.
Layered blue ridges.
Open sky.
Wind in your veil.
Walking together.
Dancing.
Laughing.
Epic kisses with the Smokies stretching out behind you.
And possibly me telling you to do something that sounds completely ridiculous but somehow looks amazing in the photograph.
Trust the process. 😂
Why Foothills Parkway?
The Great Smoky Mountains are one of the most beautiful places in the country, but having a wedding inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park can involve permits, location restrictions, parking considerations, crowds, and other logistics.
The Adventure Wedding gives you a different approach.
You have your actual ceremony at our private wedding venue, where we can prepare the chapel, accommodate your guests, and create the wedding experience.
Then we head out for the mountain photography portion.
Foothills Parkway offers those quintessential Smoky Mountain views that couples traveling to East Tennessee are dreaming about.
It’s the best-of-both-worlds idea behind the entire package:
Private forest wedding + Smoky Mountain adventure.
Yes, You Can Have Guests
An adventure elopement doesn’t necessarily mean nobody else can come to your wedding.
We offer two Adventure Wedding options based on guest count:
Adventure Wedding — Up to 10 Guests
Perfect for couples bringing immediate family, their children, or a tiny group of their favorite humans.
Adventure Wedding — 11–35 Guests
Want a larger micro wedding before heading into the mountains?
This option accommodates 11–35 guests for your chapel celebration.
Both experiences include the Adventure Wedding essentials, with the mountain photography portion reserved for the couple only.
A Little Cake Because You Just Got Married
We are firmly in favor of wedding cake.
Your Adventure Wedding includes an 8″ round wedding cake along with use of our cake accessories.
That means you still get that traditional little wedding moment without needing to coordinate a giant reception.
Cut the cake.
Feed each other nicely.
Or don’t.
We’re photographers. We document your choices. 😂
This can be a sweet little celebration with your guests before you head off on your mountain adventure.
Pop the Champagne
Adventure Weddings also include one bottle of champagne for couples age 21 and older, along with champagne flutes.
Have a toast.
Celebrate with your guests.
Or save a little just-married champagne moment for the two of you.
It’s one of those small details that makes the day feel like more than simply a ceremony and photo session.
Because you didn’t just take pretty pictures in the mountains.
You got married.
That’s worth celebrating.
A Wedding Keepsake for Your Walls
You’ll also receive an 11×14 canvas featuring one of your wedding images.
Digital wedding galleries are wonderful—we love them—but there’s something different about seeing your wedding photograph hanging on the wall every day.
Consider this our little contribution to making sure one of those gorgeous photos escapes your phone.
Want Wedding Videography?
Videography can be added to your Adventure Wedding for an additional fee.
Photography freezes individual moments.
Video lets you hear them again.
Your vows.
The shaky laugh.
Your partner’s voice.
The sounds of the woods around the chapel.
Those little moments you don’t even realize are happening because wedding days have a funny way of moving approximately twelve times faster than normal days.
If having a wedding film is important to you, ask us about adding videography to your Adventure Wedding Package.
Videography Add-On: $800-$1150
[LEARN ABOUT WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY]
Need Hair and Makeup?
We can also help make your destination wedding easier by adding professional hair and makeup at your location for an additional fee.
This can be especially convenient for couples staying in a cabin or lodging around the Smoky Mountains.
Instead of getting up on your wedding morning and trying to figure out where you’re going, your beauty services can come to you.
Have coffee.
Put on some music.
Try to remember to eat something.
And let someone else handle the hair.
Hair & Makeup Add-On: $500
What Can We Add to an Adventure Wedding?
Want to personalize the experience even more?
Depending on availability and your wedding plans, optional upgrades may include:
- Videography
- Hair and makeup at your lodging
- Additional chapel accessory packages
- Other available wedding enhancements
We’ll help you figure out which additions make sense for the experience you’re trying to create.
The goal isn’t to add things simply because wedding websites tell you that you need them.
Choose the pieces that actually matter to you.
Adventure Wedding vs. Signature Micro Wedding
These two experiences have some similarities, so this is probably going to be one of our most common questions.
The biggest difference is flexibility versus bundling.
Choose a Signature Micro Wedding if…
You want to build your wedding yourself.
Signature Weddings allow you to choose your wedding length and select services such as officiating, photography, videography, and event management individually.
You can also bring approved outside wedding professionals who meet our insurance requirements.
It’s the best option if you want maximum flexibility.

Choose an Adventure Wedding if…
You already know you want:
Officiating + photography + event management + a chapel wedding + cake + champagne + mountain photos.
Instead of piecing everything together individually, the Adventure Wedding bundles the experience for you.
And, most importantly, it includes the Foothills Parkway photography adventure.

What Does an Adventure Wedding Day Feel Like?
This is probably the better question.
It feels like a wedding and an experience.
You arrive at the chapel with butterflies in your stomach.
You finish getting ready.
Your favorite people gather.
Maybe you have a first look.
Maybe you don’t.
You walk down the aisle.
You say your vows.
You kiss.
Everybody cheers.
We take family photos while everyone is conveniently in one place.
You cut your cake.
Pop the champagne.
Take photos around the chapel.
Then you hug everybody goodbye for a little while.
You climb into the vehicle with your brand-new spouse.
And we head toward the mountains.
Suddenly, the pace changes.
It’s just the two of you.
You get to breathe.
You get to look at each other and say:
“Holy crap. We just got married.”
And then the Smoky Mountains become the backdrop for the beginning of whatever comes next.
That’s the Adventure Wedding.

Spend a few days exploring Pigeon Forge and Sevierville.
Visit Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Have an amazing rehearsal dinner—or don’t have a rehearsal at all.

Come back and meet everyone for dinner.
Wake up the next morning already on your honeymoon.
Your wedding doesn’t have to follow the traditional formula.
That’s kind of the point.
