Who Is the Petite Wedding Package For?
Petite Weddings live in that lovely little space between “just marry us” and “we’re planning a whole wedding.”
They’re perfect for couples who want a meaningful ceremony with a handful of loved ones without needing all the extras of a traditional wedding or full micro wedding.
You might love the Petite Wedding if:
- You’re planning a destination wedding in the Smoky Mountains
- You want fewer than 10 guests
- You want your children or parents at your ceremony
- You want a beautiful ceremony location without decorating it yourself
- You don’t need getting-ready time at the venue
- You don’t need multiple photo locations
- You’re happy with a simple cream-and-white chapel setup
- You don’t need to bring outside wedding professionals
- You want your wedding to be sweet, easy, and relatively quick
It’s a real wedding.
We’ve just removed a lot of the stuff you don’t need.
Your Little Chapel in the Woods
Your Petite Wedding takes place at our open-air chapel tucked into the East Tennessee woods.
We’ll have the chapel ready for you with our classic:
Cream fabric + white florals
It’s soft, neutral, romantic, and works beautifully with just about any wedding colors, attire, or season.
Because Petite Weddings are designed to be simple and affordable, the chapel setup is preset for this package.
There are no decor decisions to make.
No Pinterest board required.
No arriving early to figure out how to attach flowers to anything.
You just show up and get married.
For couples who want to choose from our larger collection of fabrics, florals, accessori
es, or accessory upgrades, our Signature Micro Wedding Packages will be a better fit.

Up to 10 Guests
Your Petite Wedding can include up to 10 guests.
That total includes everyone attending the ceremony, including:
- Adults
- Children
- Bridesmaids
- Groomsmen
- Other wedding-party members
So if you have two bridesmaids, your two children, your four parents, and two friends?
That’s 10.
Perfect.
If your guest list grows beyond 10, you’ll need to move up to one of our Signature Micro Wedding Packages, which can accommodate up to 35 guests.

Professional Officiating Is Included
You don’t need to find someone to perform your ceremony.
Professional officiating is already included in the $550 Petite Wedding price.
Before your wedding, we’ll gather the information we need for your ceremony.
On the wedding day, you’ll bring your valid Tennessee marriage license, exchange your vows, make things official, and head off into newlywed life.
You can learn more about obtaining your marriage license before traveling to East Tennessee on our Tennessee Marriage License page.

Add Professional Wedding Photography
+$200
Photography is optional with the Petite Wedding.
But if you’d like photographs, you don’t have to find someone to come out for a tiny 30-minute wedding—we’ve got you.
When photography is added, we’ll photograph your ceremony first and then use the remaining portion of your reservation for portraits.
Depending on your group and timeline, that can include:
- Ceremony photographs
- Ring exchange
- First kiss
- Signing your marriage license
- Family portraits
- Wedding-party portraits
- Photos with your children
- Couple portraits
- Chapel details
- Just-married moments
All photography takes place within the chapel area during your existing 30-minute reservation.
Photography does not add additional time to your Petite Wedding.
What Does “Chapel Area Only” Mean?
One of the ways we’re able to offer Petite Weddings at this price is by keeping the experience contained to the chapel.
When you add photography, we’ll take your portraits at and immediately around the chapel area.
Petite Weddings do not include photography at our additional property photo locations or mountain-view locations.
If you’ve been scrolling through our previous weddings and thinking:
I want the mossy tree.
And the creek.
And the vines.
And the mountain.
And that spot.
And THAT spot.
We love your enthusiasm. 😂
You’ll want a Signature Micro Wedding instead.
Signature Weddings give us more time to explore and give couples access to additional photo locations when Chapel in the Hollow photography is booked.
And if those big Foothills Parkway mountain views are calling your name, take a look at our Adventure Wedding Packages.

Arrive Wedding-Ready
Petite Weddings do not include a grace period or access to our bridal suite.
That means everyone should arrive:
Dressed. Ready. And prepared to get married.
Your 30 minutes begins at your reserved wedding time, so we don’t recommend planning to change clothes, finish hair or makeup, decorate, or handle other wedding-day preparations after arriving.
If having a place to finish getting ready at Chapel in the Hollow is important to you, our Signature and Adventure Weddings include a 30-minute grace period and bridal suite access.
Can We Bring Our Own Photographer?
Petite Weddings do not allow outside wedding professionals.
That includes professional photographers as well as family members or friends acting as your wedding photographer.
You’re absolutely welcome to have guests take casual cell-phone photos from their seats like normal wedding guests.
What we don’t allow is someone using the Petite Wedding as an opportunity to provide outside professional or semi-professional photography coverage.
If you’d like professional photographs, simply add our Petite Wedding photography option for $200.
If bringing your own wedding professionals is important to you, take a look at our Signature Micro Wedding Packages, where approved outside wedding professionals are welcome with the required insurance.
When Can We Book a Petite Wedding?
Petite Weddings are available:
Monday–Thursday
Book anytime, subject to availability.
Friday–Sunday
Book within 30 days of your wedding date, subject to availability.
This makes Petite Weddings especially nice for couples planning a weekday Smoky Mountain destination wedding—or couples putting together something intimate on a shorter timeline.
Petite Wedding vs. Make It Legal
Trying to decide between the two?
The biggest difference is pretty simple:
Make It Legal
15 minutes • Couple only • No guests
Choose this if the two of you simply want to get married without guests.
Petite Wedding
30 minutes • Up to 10 guests • Chapel ceremony
Choose this if you want a few of your favorite people there to see you say “I do.”

Petite Wedding vs. Signature Micro Wedding
This decision mostly comes down to how much time and flexibility you want.
Choose a Petite Wedding if you’re happy with:
- 30 minutes
- Up to 10 guests
- Cream fabric and white florals
- Officiating
- Optional chapel-area photography
- Arriving completely wedding-ready
- Keeping everything simple
Choose a Signature Micro Wedding if you want:
- 1–3 hours
- Up to 35 guests
- A 30-minute grace period
- Bridal suite access
- Your choice of available fabrics and florals
- Use of our included chapel accessories
- Additional accessory upgrades
- Multiple photography locations
- Mountain-view photo locations
- Optional officiating, photography, videography, or event management
- The ability to bring approved outside wedding professionals
Basically, Petite is:
“We want a sweet little wedding.”
Signature is:
“Okay, we want to do some wedding stuff.” 😂

“I want a beautiful little chapel, my person, a few people I love, and somebody to make us legally married without turning this into a giant production…”
Hi. 👋
We made this one for you.
Your Petite Wedding gives you enough time to gather your favorite people, walk down the aisle, exchange vows, take some photographs if you’d like, and leave Chapel in the Hollow married.
No giant venue.
No elaborate setup.
No 150-person guest list.
No spending $7,000 on centerpieces that everyone will leave behind anyway.
Just a sweet little wedding in the Smoky Mountain foothills with the people who matter.
