Woodsy Sunflower Vow Renewal

Lisa and Doug joined us with their two children for a woodsy sunflower vow renewal. They not only celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, but they also decided to rededicate themselves to one another! They dressed the chapel in white and gold with our sunflower florals. She was gorgeous in a pale gold glittery dress, and he was suave and sophisticated in his khakis and suit jacket. Her son walked her down the aisle, and both children stood up to witness their parents make their vows. Congratulations, Lisa and Doug!!

From the Bride:

We met each other in high school through mutual friends and have been inseparable ever since. Yes we are high school sweethearts. We have been together since 1990!!! Our first date was on a church dinner for Valentine’s Day. Doug proposed to me. He took me out to eat at the Beechwood restaurant and when I was not looking he hung my engagement ring on the tail of the fried shrimp on my plate. I was completely shocked. We eloped in Pigeon Forge 25 years ago so it was only fitting to re-new our vows on our 25th wedding anniversary in TN along with our two children. We are looking forward to renewing our vows with both of our children there to witness the love that we still have for each other. We were married on May 31st 1997 so we wanted to renew our vows on the same day. We love sitting on the patio and just relaxing after a long day of work. Here we are able to discuss each others day and plans for the evening. We love attending all of our children’s sporting and band events although that is coming to an end now. We also like to go four wheeler riding on the creeks of his grandmothers property. My husband also loved to hunt in the winter and we garden together in the spring.
